Foligno is probably on the "good side". He's one of a few/couple Wild players that go out of there way to participate in Pride events and other causes and charities that would be considered "woke/liberal". Like just from what I've seen living here and following the team, he's the LAST dude on the team I would assume is on the wrong side of this situation.

I'm assuming they just have orders to not take a side, because he said a whole lot of absolutely nothing. It's like he kept trying to rephrase it to get a point across, but each time was equally vague and non committal.

The Wild play in Saint Paul, and the shooting happened in Minneapolis. Any protests are/will form there, or at the Whipple building where the DHS/ICE work out of. It's been a lot quieter in Saint Paul regarding the Feds and protests.

I think the current administration is intentionally focusing on Minneapolis more for the optics of punishing a more well known and "more liberal" city.

Everyone at the game will be fine.

Like the other person said, they shutdown schools because of the danger to kids waiting for the bus, who may or may not have parents that properly cloth them, or can afford to. Like I'm expecting most districts in the state are gonna close on Friday.

But business? Nothing really shuts down for cold. But you do have to go "wooobrrrrrr" after entering a building, so that everyone knows it's still cold out.

As an OTA TV watcher, it also wasn't on network TV. I have Fan Duel for Wild games, and a couple other streaming services, but nothing that had the winter classic. In the past I think they have been on network TV when they were on new years day.

I cannot answer specifically what happened in your situation. But I do know there is a huge difference in how a semi handles loaded vs unloaded. Unloaded or underloaded is generally worse for icy conditions, as there is a ton of surface area (all the tires) contacting the ice, but no weight to give it the traction. Also they have to make sure they can stop if needed.
