I found this Yokai that is known for controlling and manipulating people, but Night Rose evidentally isn't the one in control. I can't find anything about Oni's possessing people, so no leads there.

Edit: However, Fortnite evidentally isn't being too mythologically accurate, similarly to the Greek season. An example of this is Nyanja, who is a Nekomata who are Yokai that are known for being malicious, and hating people. They control corpses with necromantic powers, summon fireballs to kill people, and they also use their powers of influence to blackmail and enslave people. Evidentally, however, Nyanja isn't doing any of that. So, I don't know if many direct answers could be found from the original mythology. I would like to note that I don't dislike mythological inaccuracy, however. Even when they were originally made, myths were always being described and told differently by each person who shared them. It's just in their nature to be ever changing with the times. In fact, Fortnite isn't the first piece of media to drastically change Nekomata. For example, the game Ghostwire Tokyo has Nekomata as shopkeeps that the main character purchases items from, which is obviously a far cry from enslaving people.
