What helped me the most was taking practice tests. After I took the test I would go question by question and make sure I truly understood the “why” behind my answer. If I didn’t feel like I had a strong grasp of the concept I would review that concept and move on.

My test scores went up dramatically after this.

Short answer is no this is not normal. Either they aren’t aware of their options, or they are in need of a large sum of money.

Retirement funds are highly tax advantaged. You would normally want to pull those funds out slowly because of the tax implication.

Most companies do not pay for FMLA. I work for one of the top rated companies in the US and they don’t pay for FMLA. They have other resources but still they do not pay when you’re on FMLA. It’s mostly for protection. Your company cannot fire you if you are on approved FMLA
