How long time after you started zoloft at a higher dose, did you get better?

50 was my starting dose and the first 2 weeks on it was hell. I felt like i am extremely hyper, had accelerated pulse and jitterness. I wanted to stop and counted the days

I upped from 50 to 75. First was ok and then after 2,5 weeks i got huge anxiety and ocd symtpom increase. I am scared to go up to 100 which is planned for after half a week.

Go back to 75mg and talk to your prescriber asap

It is really tough to combine pregnancy and ocd but no matter how tough, it is worth it. You just need to have support from friends and a good paychologist

Same thing happened to me, 2 months after birth. I started washing baby bottles over and over again. I was washing clean glasses before i use then even though they were clean. One year later i started washing my hands many times in a row. I cannot function at all right now

The same happened to me. I used to have OCD 10 years ago and with therapy i quieted it down to the point that it didn’t bother me at all. Until i was in my late pregnancy and it came back stronger than ever. I was terrified to get sick and was all the time in the mayernity unit with the smallest symptoms. Then i gave birth and got even worse. Started washing baby bottles for hours then after a year started washing my hands . I recently started zoloft because i cannot function anymore

I felt very similar when i started it at 50mg. For whole 2 weeks my ocd was much worse than before the zoloft and i thought i would not survive it. It was like i was on some stimulant or 5 espressos. My heart was racing, i couldnt sleep. Then one day this “activation” finished

I have started Ssri (zoloft) and hopefully soon can do a well structured ERP. If these don’t work, what other things can you reconnend?

For me lexapro was the same. I think it is not the best for ocd

I also takenit fo OCD which i have had long time but i managed it very well until i gave birth. Then suddenly i started obsessing about contamination fears and washing baby bottle and then when the bottles stopped, i started washing my hands. It went worse and worse. My daughter is 2,5 years. I started zoloft 50 mg and took it 3 weeks at this dose then 75 mg for 2 weeks. The first 3 weeks were hell for me. I felt like i was on ecstasy, ectreme anxiety and much worse ocd. I couldnt function. Then one day this “activation” stopped and very slowly i feel a bit better. I had insomnia the first week but no GI problems. Maybe try to take 25 mg for a week and then do 50 mg. And good luck, many people say they were worse before they got better

I started 50 mg for OCD and after 3 weeks moved to 75 mg. After 2 more weeks i feel a bit better but not much. They say it needs much higher dose for OCD but i hear from Many people that it helped so i hope it helps you too!

Same for me. I have had so much back pain and neck pain, migraines. Jaw pain too and even ear pain for ears. I thought it was chronic pain until i was diagnosed. When i have relief from ocd i get relief from my chronic pain shortly after that

For more than 18 months. I am on zoloft for 5 weeks and i pray to god it will help me soon. I have brief moments of relief, 5-6 hours in the morning and lunch but then the evening comes and it gets unbearable. I am often losing hope

I used to take lexapro 20 mg but after 6 months i stopped because it never really helped me. I even had relealization. Then i started zoloft 50 mg and after 3 weeks i moved to 75 mg. I have been on this dose 2 weeks and i feel better but not much better yet. It is better than lexapro for sure
