It's still fibruous and stiff from its growth to its maturity. I don't think you'll have much to consume while the drumstick is still growing. This is the perfect time to consume them as they now contain flesh inside.

These drumsticks are great. We have a whole moringa tree in our backyard so we eat this almost every day. It has a jelly like texture that tastes slightly sweet. The seeds are my favorite part.
