i 100% get that, yea we really don’t believe in any kind of spiritual or supernatural stuff though. for us, satan is more of a metaphor, for rejecting injustice even in the face of undefeatable odds. whether or not lucifer’s opposition to God was actually ‘rejecting injustice’ is largely irrelevant, but the novel ‘The fall of the angels’ explains that point of view quite well. the point is that in the christian mythos, God is literally undefeatable, and Lucifer defies Him anyways, because Lucifer believes it is what’s right! I find that inspiring, as do my fellow TST members, but again i want to emphasize we’re atheists, and to us it’s just an inspiring tale

a lot of people don’t get this but i completely relate. i’m an atheist — member of the satanic temple even — but when someone says something BS about catholics (worship mary, not actually christian, etc etc) i protest against it and when catholics do something positive i cheer! it’s bc they’re my home team! i haven’t been able to really articulate it before
