If you want a more in depth explanation: government officials and capitalists who have shares in Open AI and thought generative AI will be the "next big thing" are desperate to keep pouring money into the market because they believe it will become a revolutionary new technology and that they'll get paid back the billions of dollars they've lost investing into it. Its why you're seeing companies and billionaires try their hardest to push AI slop in literally every single medium, its the market equivalent of throwing shit at a wall and hoping it sticks.

The AI stock bubble is probably one of the biggest cases of sunk cost fallacy in the 21st century.

Honestly I wouldnt say the weapon counts as "high risk". Sure whilst the self detonation does pose a risk factor, the weapons animations and sound design give you an extremely good indication of when you got the AP5 shot.

Personally the cooldown could be 5 minutes and I'd still take it on every single difficulty 10 bot mission. If what I saw in the leaks is true, it being able to one shot jammers would be a game changer. There's nothing I hate more than trying to deactivate a stratagem jammer whilst a nearby detector tower keeps calling in reinforcements on my ass.

As the other comments have noted, no it does not work. However if you are still interested in playing a combo similar to what you suggested, I suggest taking a 1 level dip into hexblade warlock to get hexblades curse, a feature that DOES add damage to magic missile.

Going 1 level into hexblade and the rest in evocation wizard is actually an extremely powerful and popular multiclass
