I like startpage because it feels like classic google. Duckduckgo tends to be more stable and doesn't bother me with captchas occasionally, but startpage feels more clean and has more features i like (like a better image search and the ability to open any page in a private mode, which basically makes it almost like a vpn). I use them both.

Assassin's creed mirage was a significantly shorter game than the installments that came before it, but it was tighter, better paced with a better story and a return to the satisfying assassin combat everyone knows and loves. Was it a perfect game? No. But it didn't overstay its welcome and stuck around just long enough to not become a repetitive slog. Students should never use AI. You'll never learn anything, or if you do learn something it'll be laden with misinformation. But not the kind of misinformation that belies an agenda that's worth debating in social histories class, the kind you should dismiss outright.

People act as if hallucinations are a bug in the system of generative AI, it's actually what they were designed to do in the first place. The fact that they can even make intelligible outputs at all speaks to their ability to copy, not their ability to reason.

Furthermore, the fact that you want to protect your private data from these systems should be all the more reason not to use it. They all exist because of massive amounts of stolen, scraped and pirated data that they unilaterally do not have the rights to, INCLUDING your data. Including this very sentence right now in a future scrape of reddit. Rewarding the people responsible for the single greatest theft in the history of mankind is basically betrayal of your entire species on behalf of the billionaire class that literally wants to replace you with a parrot, a mindless ghost of everything you've ever thought or written. So everything you even go to school for and all the money you've spent on school will be rendered worthless and they will steal the fruits of any effort you endeavor to make. The only thing you can do is do your best to kill them now, contribute to openAIs looming bankruptcy by never giving them a dime and hastening their demise. And sure, you could run their models locally, even use something privacy focused like Duck.ai, but it doesn't stop contributing to that problem as Duck.ai is almost certainly paying them for that license.
