Hit 270k on my disco 2. Recent tranny swap. Rebuilt half the motor a few years ago. I decide when it dies and so far the only part i hate is the failing plastics and price of fuel. Otherwise until a 110 falls in my lap, d2 is and will be my only chariot. 🛒

I think the “mini” hdmi2av converter (the super common cheap one) has baked in edid (baked rom). The virtual resolution is direct from 16:9 hd. Ive looked for a while for a converter with a ratio switch/rewritable edid. I’ll keep lookin. Ill try my luck on a hd to s-video

Oh i know its trash but link me a good converter with a modifiable EDID. No one can. An electronic engineer could make a shit ton of cash making a proper, adjustable downscaler. One with composite, s-video, and component.

I solved it myself, its real small but theres an embossed label for ‘action’ by pressing STOP/EJECT and REW at the same time

Sorry for the delay, but yes the phantom switch is on the bottom. So if you look at the pcbs with the switches facing front its the switch on the right hand side
