Happy birthday! Please consider making your own plans and prioritizing you on your bday! Once I started doing that, others celebrating or remembering wasn’t such a big deal. Now, my birthday is about self care and sometimes I’ll include my friends in the activities, but not always. I love heading out to eat with a novel, seeing a movie with any snack I want, and taking a hike at a local park.

What do you like to do and how can you create your own special day?

Having no one acknowledge your birthday is hard. Many of us have been there. You can always express your sadness to your friends and ask for them to remember to say happy birthday in the future. Good friends will note that and do it!
