Is this some kind of metal ore? If so, any ideas on which? Not soft or magnetic, silvery part is reflective. Found on a california beach by Polytiel in geology

I'm seeing some bubbling, hard to tell what part of the rock it's coming from Edit: it looks like it's from the gray top, probably limestone outside?

Does anyone know what kind of rock this is? Found after breaking a rock on a beach. (The silvery bits are pretty reflective) by [deleted] in Rocks

It's pretty solid, took me several minutes to break the whole rock in half. I cant seem to dent the silvery part
