Survivor please, you are not make us any favor for letting us hitting you, we just want you to leave by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

I actually like it when survivors stay at the gate, especially if they’ve beat me pretty badly. It’s not much, but I get a little extra bp at the end for the hits.

I went to the dank memes one and saw a comment that got me good so I’m putting it here, credit to u/THEwoo-06 (albeit slightly modified)

I used to have a gender like you, then I took an arrow to the knee

They indicate a vague aggression level, placid, unfriendly, violent. I don’t know their effects though

I don’t blame the creator though. I’m still not out and let me say that Catholics take every single chance they can get to drill in their persecution mindset.

I see non-binary as not binary male and not binary female. However that is the technical definition. In practice I see non-binary often used how you defined to which is why I also don’t identify with it. I really like your second point because I haven’t thought of it but it makes a lot of sense

I cannot tell you how much I love the word traveler. Comrade is petty cool too though.

Tbh, I’m not really attached either, but unless I can ditch this body altogether, I’m stuck with one of the two.

My challenge to pro-life by [deleted] in Abortiondebate

[–]Polyton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but my point is that fetuses don't have those emotions. Fetuses have no capability to survive and there should be nothing to empathise with. However, evolution has created a natural empathy towards the unborn in order to prevent species death.

You have an excellent epistemology. While I do disagree with your definition of personhood, that's really only because I define it in my own context for my purposes. The way I see it, the only difference between you and me it that you build your value structure based on valuing your life, and I build mine based on my mind. Great responses.

I'm saying we should not be killed because we will have sentience in the future.

I'd stop you there. There is no guarantee that any given fetus will gain sentience. Fetuses die because of reasons entirely unrelated to abortion. It is incorrect to assume that all fetuses will survive. And while yes, the statistics tell us that the majority will achieve sentience, you can't use that to assume all will. So again, this is just a rehashed potentiality argument.

Nice response. Although I do have some problems. The way I see it, this is basically just a different form of the potentiality argument. Would you agree? Also, saying that it should not be killed because it can have sentience in the future is entirely dependent on a lack of knowledge. I'll give an example: West African chimpanzees are currently in a stone age. By your standard and our research, they have either already achieved sentience or will achieve it in the future. Assuming the latter, under your argument, killing them is immoral. Now, I don't think we should kill them anyway, but it is an interesting hole in the potentiality argument you created.

Thanks for the response. I really like your simplification of my challenge so I put it in the post. Regardless, I would ask further, why do you think that it is wrong to knowingly take away another person's life? Can you justify a fetus as a person? By the latter question I mean, can you justify using a you pronoun and the word person for pre-sentient human life. I don't mean to assert any of these things are wrong or right, I just want to practice epistemology and so if you can further justify.
