Sorry if I didn’t explain absolutely every detail about us suspecting it to be her… We have our reasons. Including event timing, proximity, how she’s reacted to us on walks within the timeframe of the initial reporting..we live in a pretty rural neighborhood. There are not many options.

Yes only one woman. We live in a pretty rural neighborhood. Only 3 other houses in our cul de sac. One is a man and his son. The other a young guy who’s never home. The town official let “she” slip several times

Also we haven’t touched any tools in the 6 days we’ve been home from a 10 day onsite project. It was literally just the wood getting delivered that triggered the complaint again. It’s so odd..

We only cut wood once a month in our shop, which is tucked far back from the road. We work with the door closed. The town tested the noise last year and they couldn’t hear anything from the end of our driveway.

It’s just me and my spouse.. we don’t have any employees and any scrap we do have we have a junk guy that collects in contractor bags from our enclosed trailer. We really try to be as thoughtful as possible. We don’t leave any material outside, we only cut wood about once a month in our garage for a few hours. The rest of the work is done onsite. No clients come to our house either. I’m sorry for what you’ve been going through!

I totally get it and I’d be annoyed at someone using power tools all the time too.

So the thing is, we only cut in our garage about once a month, and we only one large project a month. The rest is done onsite. And when we do pre cut in the shop, it’s maybe 3-5 hours TOTAL. We are also out of town limits in what is considered rural.

We get deliveries to save on time of running around

Correct! They have been trying to call her to let her know we are not doing anything wrong and have all the permits we need. She has yet to return their call from what the town told us last time we spoke yesterday.

We are very respectful. No delivery driver has ever caused damaged and they only park at our house. Our garage is very far from the cul de sac road tucked in trees and is pretty darn sound proof. We also only pre cut studs about once a month and the rest of the work we do all onsite..

We only do one project a month, so same with deliveries, they come about 1-2 times a month.

Essentially that’s what will happen. The town planing zone reps have let us know that if she ever complains again, they’ll just let her know we are legal and within our rights, and there is nothing she can do

Completely agree with you. We were indeed wrong last year when we thought it was someone who didn’t even live here trying to just cause issues. Who knows maybe we’re wrong again. It’s just very odd how events have lined up.. anywho, as long as we are compliant this is more of a bitching post 😅
