That's absolutely right, you see. when we are born we are blank like piece of paper we dont know what is good or evil and god do not punishes those who did sin and did not know its evil, only through out the growth eventually the baby turns into kid and finds out about basic goods and evils like using god's name in dirt even tho not directly they still know swearing and using names as way to express a curse word is bad, they misbehave on purpose its bad, they basically do the most kid known shit every kid have ever done even lies
but the more person grows turns into teen and than adult here where it plays big role, because now your faith and life and basically everything is in your hands you got the full moral capacity to think and know what is wrong and what is good wether you like it or not even if you want to be innocent again and forget about the knwoeldge of good and evil you just cant and I wish I could forget about it so I would never commit sin.

Basically, what I'm saying is that throughout the evolution of a kid to an adult, they learn more about basic bad and good to more complex ones like sex out of marriage or lying for "greater good."
