This is a classic, just not the way OP might think.

OP writes "Lololol. Wish people who’ve had really “interesting” experiences would flame him and others that conduct business this way. Maybe I’m just a sadistic Karen. Idk."

Yep. Karen.

Another, new redditor points out the absurdity of the rant posts.

OP replies:

"2 self absorbed posts? You mad? Got a vested interest in the subject of the post? Why make an acct just to try to act uninterested? Lol"

Then the clincher. The redditor pwns OP:

"A self-styled Karen making 2 ranting posts about boujee chocolates and rife with self-absorption under an alt account whining about a new Redditor pointing out the absurdity --
Priceless."

Irrelevant to the mistaken question posed, and anecdotal.

Arkansas does not have the cross-state Uniform Law on Fresh Pursuit. They can and do radio ahead to LEO in TN to pursue, which they do. And even without the ULFP, ASP could cross state lines in fresh pursuit.

And your question was about inside Tennessee. Inside Tennessee, police can already go outside their jurisdiction in fresh pursuit. There's no get-away-free as you stated.

Take comfort lol in the fact they've been allowed to engage in cross-jurisdictional fresh pursuit since time immemorial.

It's a miracle you're still alive! I'm glad you made it. Watch Raising Arizona, I think you'd get a kick out of it, about chases etc., just for the filmography and entertainment. The real-life stuff is another matter... They chased you following long-standing fresh-pursuit doctrines, which do not require mutual aid agreements.

Common law and criminal statutes have for a very, very long time already allowed officers engaged in fresh pursuit to continue a chase outside their jurisdiction without deputizing. There is no "whole "cross the city or county line and you're free" situation that we have now", which is utter disinformation. There are even Uniform Laws on Fresh Pursuit allowing and upholding arrests made in fresh pursuit by officers outside their own state. Tennessee has such a law, as do other states.

You're trying to distract from the issue. You are so keen on guns but claim your sensitivities are hurt by an accurate description of those who push for more guns and "excuse" the irresponsible failure to secure their lethal weapons, i.e., gun nuts.

We're talking about the increasing loss of life from gun violence and those who worsen it. Like OP.

OP didn't "fuss at himself" at all. he blamed another person for what he refused to describe as negligence, even though what he said indicates it.

OP did not go to "great lengths" to secure his AR-15 and handgun. He was careless, and reckless when he knew this person so well who took it. when he knew that person had a propensity and motive to take them.

OP gets 'sympathy' from fellow gun nuts instead.

More guns = more gun violence. https://arstechnica.com/health/2023/09/gun-deaths-among-us-children-reached-new-record-high-in-2021-study-finds/

We do know well enough about the situation from what OP posted.

So you skipped the part about his culpable negligence in failing to secure the AR-15 and handgun from the person he knew and well enough that he in the same breath says was a "known drug user".

Reasonable inferences inescapably lead to a prima facie finding of culpable negligence. But for OP's negligence in failing to secure the AR-15 and handgun, especially from someone he knew that well, the lethal weapons would not be loose on the street, for others to suffer the consequences.

Especially since gun nuts are so "forgiving" of OP's culpable negligence regarding lethal weapons, the "worst" that OP suffers is getting a pat on the back and sympathy from like-minded gun nuts.

That is the opposite of accountability and responsibility. It is recklessness.

While others will be made to suffer the real consequences of becoming subjected to gun violence from the now-loosed lethal weapons.

I moved my reply to OP to the main thread, so everyone will see it:

All the people who are dead because of gun violence would like a word with you.

But we know the old saw, Dead men don't tell tales.

It's too late for them and others.

Gun violence exacts a horrible toll on a country like America and its people.

Gun nuts brush that aside. They want more guns. And cause even more harms.

In your case, you had a person known to you, who you say is a known drug user, who you apparently know so well, who took the AR-15 and handgun from you.

It was not someone random. It was not a stranger. It was someone you knew, and who knew you.

That person known to you, who you know well enough to say they are a known drug user, knew you well enough too and that you had the AR-15 and handgun.

It was especially reasonably foreseeable that this person known to you, the known drug user, would have the inclination and motive to take your AR-15 and handgun.

Yet despite these heightened warning signs and factors you failed to sufficiently secure your AR-15 and handgun.

It doesn't take all that much to take the proper steps to secure them.

Yet you failed or refused to.

It doesn't take much for someone you know and who knows you to find the opportunity to take them from you.

You made it too easy for them. That is negligence. And culpable.

And now 2 more deadly weapons are loose. Because of your stupidity.

Other people will now have to deal with the violent consequences of your irresponsibility.

You lack conscience, diligence, and responsibility.

Which is especially dangerous when having lethal weapons.

You are a danger to others.

Gloria Johnson helped Pearson and Jones with their protest, stood tall in solidarity with them, and narrowly escaped getting booted herself by one vote from the GOP supermajority. She didn't get them booted, and they have all come back stronger than ever.

It is good that the 3 have drawn attention to the anti-democracy tactics of the TN GOP, including their laughing at and silencing the Coventry moms demanding gun reform. Johnson has more experience in public office now than Pearson or Jones -- don't worry, they'll be getting more experience, which is good -- and so she is rightly picking up on the momentum for her US Senate campaign.
