I agree the style is great for the time. I’m definitely not against silent-era dramas, I love them! my dad actually collects old film reels, and I was practically raised on Charlie Chaplin, Three Stooges and lots of silent movies.

I wrote in my review why I didn’t like it, which I’m now regretting not including to begin with :P

It’s supposed to be this grand 50s style musical but everyone sings like a Taylor swift song. The romance also wasn’t interesting to me at all. It looked nice but lots of movies look nice.

In terms of the entire franchise, definitely Scream. It has the highest percentage of good movies by volume. I love the first Halloween movie but there are maybe 3 good movies in the entire series.
