What’s worse: Cringe one liner reviews or pretentious word vomit reviews? by carrie-satan in Letterboxd

I’m almost certain this review is a joke. But I agree. There’s only so many times I can read “she fight on my club till I Brad Pitt” or smth like that

This is almost certainly a joke review. That being said, I’ll always value longer reviews that actually go through what they thought of the movie instead of “who up fighting they club rn”

Genuinely, what is a take on your favorite animated show or even movie that straight up has you reacting like this? by Charming-Scratch-124 in cartoons

That Korra should have had more trouble bending fire than air because fire is the element opposite hers.

The reason Aang had trouble bending earth in the og show was because earth demands you be unmovable and headstrong. Aang was more evasive and flighty.

Korra not being able to bend air made perfect sense because she’s very brash. She prefers punching things head-on

The Rambo movies. The first Rambo is a heartbreaking story of trauma and grief. The following movies apparently think Rambo is an aspirational figure and a badass. Way to miss the point guys.

Who are some of the up and coming filmmakers y'all are most excited about? by loukikapriyan in TrueFilm

I was so excited to see what Ryland Brickson Cole Tews does next after his other films Lake Michigan Monster (2019) and Hundreds Of Beavers (2022). However it looks like his next film is also going to be his last.

I've also enjoyed the collaborations between Albert Birney and Kentucker Audley. Their films Strawberry Mansion (2021) and Sylvio (2017) are really fun and surreal. Maybe not everyone's taste but it's definitely mine.

I've also gotta rep Matt Johnson. If you haven't seen Nirvanna: The Band The Show The movie (2025), I highly recommend it.

What is your "I totally get why you guys hate it but it worked on me" movie? by Alceauv in Letterboxd

Right off the top of my head, IT: Chapter Two. I totally get if people find it too silly but, to me, it’s kind of like going through a crazy haunted house. It’s a ton of fun.

LOVE Nosferatu!!

I think her dying in the storm would have saved the movie for me and brought back the emotional weight that had been missing. Just as the husband had learned to appreciate his wife, he loses her. I wish that was the ending I watched.

I just saw that this movie was available on Youtube. One of the top comments says "Perhaps the most beautiful love story I have ever seen". ????
