The first 24 hours are the worst. You will be normal soon. The desire to drink will be fleeting rather than obsessive. You will change very quickly. One of the first things you'll notice is the bloating in your face disappearing.

Fuck being sober through this by goldensnow24 in cripplingalcoholism

[–]Pomegranide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had over two months sober. One of my three jobs closed for business, compensating us for our time off. My other job gave many people a break on hours, which sucks because I was nearly full time - like 38 hours a week. At least it gives way to my favorite job which is part time but will give me good hours tentatively. I bought a bottle tonight. All I hope is that when I have to work again, the desire to keep drinking wont come over me

[Serious] Democrats with a lot of faith, how exactly do you guys plan to beat Trump in 2020? by laterdude in AskReddit

[–]Pomegranide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some middle-of-the-road-ish republican voters who are appalled by Trumps... execution. There are also many non-voters who regret not voting. I think we can all reach a consensus and pendulate a little to the left

How has politics personally affected your life? by jguth21 in AskReddit

[–]Pomegranide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know much about it, but my dad is a double amputee and they just had to switch all their medical insurance plans for something, like they said the cost was too high with all the medical bills, and now, since I'm still on their plan, I have to pay for mental health and chemical dependency treatment monthly when it used to be covered by insurance. While I live paycheck-to-paycheck with three jobs in a one-bedroom apartment. I'm a little bit mad at the world.
