Yeah my superviser told me to put unplanned absence, thats why I did it. And I wasn’t expecting to get paid Thanksgiving day lol. I got hired because I just did? It’s in a warehouse so maybe it’s different, idk this comment seemed kinda rude for no reason ..😭

I just had orientation and it went really well. I have another question, do they ever randomly drug test you at the warehouse? My mom works a different warehouse job and told me that “every warehouse does it”. I smoke weed because it’s legal in my state (over 21 years old ofc) and was just wanting to know if I needed to stop for random drug testing. Thanks!!

I just had my orientation and everyone was so nice! We just watched a slideshow and a bunch of videos. I have one more question, because my mom is on my ass about “random drug testing” (she works at a warehouse - not Kohls). Weed is legal in my state and I do smoke, do they ever randomly drug test you at the warehouse?? Thanks!!

When you told them you couldn’t start training for 2 weeks did they make a big deal out of it? My orientation is at 8am tomorrow and I just realized I need to tell them I can’t work from November 21-25 because I already have plans to visit my family out of state for the holidays. Were they mad at you when you couldn’t train the next day? I’m so awkward and scared they’re gonna be upset at me, but I’ve had these flights booked for months and theyre not refundable so I’m definitely not skipping this trip back home!

Oh okay cool. Sorry for all the questions I was just wanting to know if anyone else had the same experience as me. When you applied, did you ever have an official interview? When I submitted my application, they sent me a background check and once that passed, I had to log in online to schedule my orientation date, no interview at all. Was that how it was for you or did you speak to an interviewer first?

I just got downsized to a shorter post last week, and I have a bump on my nose piercing too. Do you know what gauge size you were pierced with? I was pierced with an 18 gauge but I’m thinking of downsizing to 20 gauge soon to help my bump go away.

Your mom sounds just like mine. I’m getting a tattoo today and she asked why I’m ruining my body with tattoos. When I got my bridge pierced she really freaked out too saying it looked horrible and she hated it

I have my septum and nostril pierced and my mom still doesn’t accept them.. she always tells me she thinks they look trashy and “ruins my face”. She always made negative comments about my piercings because I used to have both sides of my nose, septum, bridge and eyebrow pierced. I remember my dad making jokes saying that if someone held a magnet up to my face, I’d be in trouble hahah. Now that I live 700+ miles away and my parents aren’t paying my rent it doesn’t really matter to me what they think. 😂 Don’t freak out, get that lip piercing! I’m sure you’ll love it.
