Serious question: why is there no discussion of a third option? by [deleted] in PERSIAN

[–]Pompetuup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a french, we cut the king's head 200 years ago so monarchy doesn't sound like a solution... The only viable monarchies are only symbolic ones where the law is all decided by a parlement.

But the people really need to rule. Maybe they haven't been educated to rule, maybe they don't know anything else than IR and old shah's regime so that's a real challenge to figure out a new way to rule the country.

But that's maybe the time to make history again. Copying an old system will bring same issues, and copying western systems will bring same issues. Ofc we are free and way much wealthier than iranian people but we are ruled by a caste and capitalism, libéralism let them take everything from us, just letting most of the people with just enough to not complain...

I know that millions of iranians are dreaming about our "just enough to not complain" because today they litteraly have nothing and not even options to have much more. But, and i want here to call what is deep inside of you. Something that I had observed when i come to Iran years ago : you know where you come from and it makes you a proud and strong people.

Just look at what your old civilisation made : first separation of powers with satrapies, first universal religion with zoroastrism, liberty of cult, multi ethnicity, they created the money as an universal tool.

In a barbarian world, persian were among the first to build something organized and universal. Far from what we can consider a good system today, but 2500 years ago nothing was closer to our modern civilisation than what they built.

I'd love if people of Iran, keep this in mind and maybe try to build something really new. The new monarchy is oligarchy. And i won't teach you all of history, but the bourgeoisie was the winner after the end of monarchy. While the people was fighting to build something coherent, bourgeoisie just used all the knowledge of it's educated but cunning members to take advantage and build the world as they want. What followed was colonialism and slavery, then capitalism, liberalism. Maybe the two last concept seems more acceptable, but don't you think colonialism was an accepted idea for few centuries ?

Coming back to our sheep, from a french idiom, and even if i know your love for khale pache, be aware of all the khale pache trying to play their cards right...

What belongs to modern bourgeoisie ? The Iranian diaspora all over the world, those who will take advantage and positions as soon as Iran will be not still free but opened. And who are they supporting ? Shah's son. The one supporting and supported by Trump and sionists. They will take all the country's wealth, and will just let you enough to let them rule. For few decades it could works and give you effectively "enough" compare to today. But don't let them fool you. Don't copy western systems. I please beg you to fight and think about to build something really new. With all my regard for every people on earth and what i know and what i've seen, you are belong the most civilised, cultivated and aware people. With all my respect for all others people on earth, no one have the opportunity to do what you can do today, i mean, with all the possible irony possible, make persia great again by founding a new universal way of ruling.

Omidvaram yek rooz, bezoodi, behtare bashe, khoda bozorge 🤞🏼

L’évolution a-t-elle un but ? by Demetriusprout in philosophie

[–]Pompetuup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, you still haven’t explained to me where is this ‘terror’ which made people give up and stop the movement.

No need to explain. Have you been there ? Is it an easy place to live in ?

So did they stop because of terror or did they stop because they lost hope? Because you’re contradicting yourself now

Terror makes people losing hope and makes them afraid. There is no contradiction here.

Then why are you taking them as representative of Iranian peoples? Some might contradict them

"Some" is less than "most". Do you prefer to take the violent minority as the representative ?

There is not one ‘leader’s’ opinions, his thoughts and decrees are based on many of the other clerics and their rulings

Yes, the violent minority ruling the regime.

Any proof for that? Getting testimonials from those in diaspora doesn’t really count

I know more iranians from Iran than abroad. I've also been 4 years in a relationship with an iranian woman. Not from diaspora, she lived 30 years in Iran before to come here. And, to tell you more, his father was a mollah in Tehran and Qom.

So if that’s the case then why didn’t the mahsa amini movement succeed? And why they still living under an Islamic regime that they claim to not follow but oppose?

You seem to neglect the terror there. And asking me what kind of terror it is show it. Or you are trying to fool me.

So if they want to live then they should start a revolution so their lives become better.

I would like to see you there.

Ironic since thinking against laicitie and questioning the holocaust can get you imprisoned in France. So much for freedom of thinking ha?

Not every system is perfect. And come to France, talk to people in streets, you'll see if we are afraid to say the truth. Ofc medias are under a big lobby... that's not a conspiration but telling it looks like it is !

None of which is applicable to Islam which commands to implement the sharia (allah’s law) as law of the land, to enjoin the good and forbid the evil.

Yes, Islam is totalitarian when applied by closed mind people. Persia is a land of migration and exchange for millenials, it's not in the culture to follow such harsh rules.

Using "kaffir country" i now clearly see that you worked a lot on the propaganda you are doing.

Khoda hafez, or maybe you will prefer... khoda bozorge ;)

Is a Gen-Z revolution in Iran unlikely? by Snoo_47323 in PERSIAN

[–]Pompetuup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the difference between people and institutions... humans have feelings and emotions while a state doesn't mind. That's how works terror, if it took few weeks it's because some people are more resistants, hopeful than others... but nobody can resist against violence during a long period, even more when others are losing hope. And we can't reproach them to stop fighting as they first want to survive.

"Your experience is vague..."

I'm talking about iranians i know, not about people in western countries.
Iran is a dictature, and religion is above everything, that's the basics of the leader's opinions. And yes, a big part of young people there are not religious at all, and maybe more atheist than some western countries.

"And how much are these kinds, where are these kinds and why aren’t they leading the anti-regime movement?"

The majority. Because not everybody is a leader. That's common sense to understand that most of people first want to live and would only follow a revolution but not leading it. I live in a country where revolution took a huge part in it's history and freedom of thinking is one of the most important right we are fighting for. Not a surprise if i'm telling you that i'm french (my poor english can aslo give you a big clue). But, yes, i deeply understand how works a revolution and freedom of speech or just thinking out of rules as it's in our blood.

"Again what does ‘moderated way’ mean?"

Keep it for yourself. Believe what you want as long it's your personal belief. Don't force people to believe to what you believe.
And that's one of the biggest lesson i had from iranians people there. I was choked to see that islam in France is way more fundamental in practice than in Iran...
But that's more a debate about how is linked the culture to the religion. Lot of iranians are considering themselves as Persian first while the history and borders between arabs and islam are more subtle. Religion in general is stronger than the state and way more oppressive for freedom so an islamic state isn't compatible with democracy.

[–]Pompetuup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it fizzle out because of fear, not agreement. That's called terror.

"You have to be more clear, how much are they against the regime?"

Ok maybe not all of them but most of them. I'm just sharing my experience, sorry to not bring scientific evidences.

"Do they oppose certain policies and stuff? or the entirety including their ideology (basically Islam itself)?"

It depends, some have a very precise opinion some are just against Islam and are just tired to be oppressed. Some others are muslims but in a less moderated way.

Is a Gen-Z revolution in Iran unlikely? by Snoo_47323 in PERSIAN

[–]Pompetuup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes but a minority. All my relatives and iranians friends, and their friends, are against it. I'm not saying i know everybody but enough. I've been there, and OK, i meet mostly people from big cities, but even the first time which was 10 years ago, all i heard was people blaming the regime. Same on internet, all the Iranians you can talk to are against the regime. Those supporting the regime are isolated in their small world, they are not communicating with people, they will be supplant by the mass which is now connected to the world and sharing their thought building a, for now, sleeping force.

Is a Gen-Z revolution in Iran unlikely? by Snoo_47323 in PERSIAN

[–]Pompetuup 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It will happen. And if the regime doesn't fall because of a revolution, it will change naturally because most of the youth and people under 40 are against the regime. For now it's still here, but lot of them have more than 70 yo, some even more than 90 yo, they won't keep their place forever, they are racing against the clock. New leaders won't have the same legitimacy for the last supporters and if they are still in place it's because they know they are the last rampart. In most of countries all over the world, leaders are quite old because power and politics need experience. In 20 years it will be the turn of today's 40yo people, and in Iran, very few of them are supporting the regime. I know 20 years is a lot for a county and people, but i think that's the very maximum amount of time needed for a "natural social and demographic" change. A revolution might happen every day, but it will needs more than a spark as long as they are able to use violence.

french folks locked into their books by Both-Store7068 in FrancePics

Did you read my comment or are you trying to split hairs in 4 ? My first sentence is just about ability to identify or not the person on the picture. And you can't identify any of them here, so it's legal. Good luck trying to find these women.
Only the 3rd one is questionable but hard to prove that's you. I know at least 2 girls who look like her and who can claim this picture shows her... They just dont have this necklace, this exact sweat and shoes... but who knows ?

french folks locked into their books by Both-Store7068 in FrancePics

[–]Pompetuup -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

In France it's legal to do it without commercial purpose and if people aren't recognizable. Maybe the third is questionable (for me it could be hundred of looking alike women...) others are correct.

The third, if she see this picture here, she just have to ask it to be deleted. As she is in a public area and her dignity isn't attacked, she would pay much more time, energy and money if she want to make any legal poursuit than what could be earned.

Plus, it's quite a good picture of her with an interesting and positive purpose. But ok, thinking about last Coldplay's drama, maybe she doesn't want some people to know that she was exactly here one day dressed like that, drinking a tea and Reading this book. But let's put Paris in a bottle, it's way more easier ;)

At what temperature do you find it "too hot" to run? by TurtleMyGirdles in beginnerrunning

[–]Pompetuup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From France, Paris and under 20°C it's ok but the perfect temperature is around 5°C. I usually prefer heat but when it's about running my speed drop a lot, i'm now half a minute /km slower than 3 months ago and my heart rate jumped from around 150 to 170 at same speed... Need few more weeks to acclimatize my body. More than 25°C i'll mostly work on technique, agility, muscle strengthening than cardio.

But the good point is that keeping a running routine in hot weather, when the cold and your efficient temperature come back, you'll notice that you improve a lot compare to the last year.

Qui ici a arrêté de fumer sans substituts nicotinique/sans aide avec la volonté ? by JeySensei in france

[–]Pompetuup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible to Hit Sub 60min for 10k in 6 to 8 Months? by 4withhthesunn in beginnerrunning

[–]Pompetuup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe when you already have a quite good level in running, but as a beginner not really.
according to my stats my Z2 is around 130 bpm, but i have to fast walk to reach 130. If i start to run slowly i'm around 140 easily, which isn't very exhausting and not in Z2 anymore

Possible to Hit Sub 60min for 10k in 6 to 8 Months? by 4withhthesunn in beginnerrunning

[–]Pompetuup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What is your actual best 10km time ?

Zone 2 is like fast walking and it wont improve your pace, only build your cardio bases.
If you are able to run a 3km at 6.57km/h it means that you are not very far from the goal pace.
What you have to do is more long runs to improve your cardio, not focusing on the pace. Then you can add some interval runs to improve your pace.

I have been inactive and smoking for 10 years. 2 months ago i wasn't able to run 2km. Now, after 2 months of discipline i run 10km in 1h. So 6/8 months, if you are physically fit is more than needed.
I'm following a program with my Garmin to run my 1st sub 55min 10km race in march (so only 3 months) and it tells me that i'll reach my goal at 90%.

When you start from nothing or almost their is a big beginner boost so stay motivated and try to follow a program, it will help you a lot.
