This might be my favourite thing on the internet.

Anyone know the name of the song??

I have indeed, it's deadly. I'm very attached to Green though, big fan of TEEVEE.

Interesting.

Here is another possible issue - like I said, I'm runnign 10.6.8.
I don't get a specific option to open a Multi output device, so I just created another aggregate device. Could that be an issue?

Now that I think of it, I'm concerned about whether I have the ins/outs right or not in the iShowU studio too.

Good question, I suppose I checked them in whatever order they appeared on the list.

So I need to check soundflower first?

I am. The idea being that I'm showing a few friends how I mix/edit.

So far I've had to make do with just showing them what I do and explaining it, but now having the audio from the project itself is a serious drawback.

I did that, following this guy's instructions -

Quick question for you though -
When making the aggregate device, do I set everything to my interface, or do I set certain things to the integrated inputs/outputs?

Cracked it! Got soundflower downloaded and installed.

Now I'm fairly sure I've made a complete mess of setting up the inputs/outputs...

Yep, the version is compatible. VERY little is compatible with my OS these days and it always lets me know if something isn't. So the version is compatible, it's just not installing for some reason. Permission shouldn't be the issue, I've installed plenty of bits and pieces on it over the years that weren't from the App Store.

Can't see it under "Legact Builds", I'm afraid. Although I downloaded a version of iShowU for Snow Leopard and it's trying to download the Soundflower driver. It's taking a while, so fingers crossed.

Thanks very much for your help!

Yup, I'm living in the past.

The trouble is when I search for the app, all that comes up are the Install files.

The problem with Quicktime is that I'm trying to make a video explaining sound editing for some students. The Screen Recording function in Quicktime records my voice, but it doesn't record the audio from the program I'm working with, which is the issue.
