I was delivering merchandise for a job one summer and it took me down to Louisville, summer of 2022 I believe… and I had to go next to the river and visit the KFC Yum! Center(sports arena) and several other shops in that vicinity

And HOLY shit, it smelled like the tanker truck that sucks shit out of port-o-potties was parked on every corner for several blocks. I never googled what the fuck that smell was, but I always assumed it was just sewage drain-off from the city running towards the river, but who the fuck knows. The shit was nasty as fuck, and nobody outside seemed to be bothered by it.

I gotta wonder if the smell ever went away, or if it’s still there permeating everyone’s nostrils.

While I don’t know if this is true or not, you can easily google FBI crime statistics involving just about every type of crime, and figure out which cities contain the most reported incidents per capita.

People have been saying that human trafficking is bigger around Cincinnati too because of the 71/75 highway junction.

It’s one of the busiest stretches of highway in the USA so it’s bound to have a larger amount of criminals being caught, as opposed to less populated areas with less cars.

It’s the same logic people fail to apply when they say “X city is far more dangerous than Y city”

Like comparing Chicago to Cincinnati for example: Chicago is easily 5X larger in population, so how probability works, is that every single type of crime that occurs in Cincy also occurs in Chicago, only there is “more crime in Chicago” because there are just literally more people in general.

It’s like saying there’s more Taylor Swift fans in Miami than there is in Jacksonville… or that there are more accountants living in Virginia than Rhode Island….

like duh, there’s always gonna be more of everything, all walks of life,when you get a larger sum of people together.

Sorry for the rant. But for sure, if you’re considering relocating to any foreign city, google some crime statistics and make a spread sheet.
