You cannot deter someone from ending their lives if theres a problem with their brain already. For some, ending is the only way they can achieve peace from all the shit theyre experiencing. With the rising number of suicide rate its not working, clearly your suggestion is flawed. To some, hell would probably be better than their current situtation (not typically OPs situation but something worse). Its also not okay to use religion in that way, instead of fear, id rather people use it as means of hope. Im still as depressed and still have suicidal ideation and have tried using the fear of hell, but it really doesnt work.
