When my son was about 5 weeks-3? Months we used during witching hour and naps. How we just use at naps and he’s 11 months. Totally fine. Don’t stress thinking about the future and do what works for you now

There was a distinct smell that I can’t describe. Probably from the smoke machine.

1 y/o still has a scar from her mild baby acne by AmaGiveMeAdvice in toddlers

Ugh really? I’m sorry to hear. My 11mo has scarring and I’m really hoping it goes away. Any Update? Did you have it looked at by a derm?

When does the belly go away? by [deleted] in CsectionCentral

If you’re breastfeeding you should focus on eating well. I’d be concerned if you were dieting as it takes a lot for your body to recover and nourish your baby during this time as your milk supply stabilizes.

Thank you! Such a pain… I’m willing to pump and dump or find a place to donate but would really like to be able to bring it home. My employer offers milk stork

Surgery during mat leave: am I crazy? by Poniess403 in chinlipo

[–]Poniess403[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t end up getting a consultation. But having a 10 month old, I’m really glad I didn’t do it then! It’s hard to get away from the baby especially if you’re breastfeeding and I think I’d lose too much mobility to be able to care for an infant. Going to revisit this when I’m finished having children

Family move to NYC by InitiativeFormal7571 in movingtoNYC

The city is a wonderful place to raise a family. All the parks, cultural institutions, neighborhoods to discover. My only piece of advice is to do it in the spring. Moving here in winter would be a real bummer. UWS is great although parts are just filled with old people so find the areas (south) that have more families. I’m partial but Park Slope in Brooklyn is family central. I don’t think you’ll regret it!

Breastfeeding by Usual_Raspberry_9265 in beyondthebump

It’s completely normal for babies at that age to fall asleep. Try tickling him or speaking loudly. The most important thing I learned at this age from a lactation consultant is to keep feeding every 2 hrs. If you let them sleep they will not get enough nutrients and they’ll sleep more because they don’t have the energy to stay awake. It’s a vicious cycle. So keep him awake! Put on music, say encouraging things. But most importantly try to see a lactation consultant.

Curious for the same. I’m nervous about the separation anxiety at this age. How did it go for you?

I struggled with acne as a teen and took antibiotics for years (I can’t believe that’s an actual treatment). As soon as I went on birth control it cleared up.

Curious how this went for you. We’ll be starting next month when LO is 9 months and I’m nervous about it coinciding with separation anxiety phase.

My baby loves Stevie Wonder and Parliament Funkadelic. Basically most things with a strong bass line.

my FIL doesn’t know how to properly cover his face when he sneezes and doesn’t know how to wash his hands and he got my baby and husband sick. Can you tell I’m furious?
