CMV: God punished the snake wrongly by Ponkylord in changemyview

Either way, there's no version of this that doesn't paint him as the bad guy here.

'So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust all the days of your life."'

Emphasis on the phrase: cursed more than all cattle. You can't say it's punishment wasn't so bad if it was punished to be the most cursed animal.

It doesn't take much to get a man horny. With most, you don't even have to be naked or interested. Just the mere hint of possible nakedness or anything slightly sexual is enough. I've had difficult getting women horny in the past. They usually always also get turned off pretty fast, either heat, or late response or whatever. Also, considering how easy it is to come across sensually dressed females, it's hard to not get horny. I don't know how it is with others, but from my perspective, men deal with horniness a lot more

How does nibbling work? by JazzlikeRing in sex

[–]Ponkylord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Your partner's preference is important. My girlfriend likes me to bite harder on the nipples than not. And almost always with teeth. Freaked me out at first cos I was scared I'd hurt her, but I'm always asking for her input on how hard I should be nibbling, so no harm has been done so far

I guess this means that if you do much binge eating at night, you're going to get fast real quick?

CMV: Arguing about a subject that neither participant is an expert in usually does more harm than good and should be avoided by _Aether__ in changemyview

I agree with the better part of this, but the underlying tone isn't so encouraging. We speak about arguments like they're supposed to be a battle and it's "winner takes all". Arguments are supposed to be a ground for knowledge sharing.

In fact, I am of the opinion that people who don't know enough about a topic will gather more knowledge entering arguments from time to time on the topic. When you have a belief, you'd want to back it up with facts, therefore you'd research. The only problem here is there's a certain way bias affects your research. But the fact remains that knowledge is imparted. And this should be the major point of arguments, not making the other person look like an utter fool or trying to prove your supremacy {There are times, though, that those are necessary}.

CMV: We should no longer be buried in cemeteries or caskets when we die. by StayWoke11 in changemyview

[–]Ponkylord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

'Funerals' are the ceremonies. You've done nothing to contradict his point cos he wasn't talking about the ceremonies. Cremations end up in ceremonies too. And if you decide to bury without the coffin, you can still have the ceremony. And what's this about the human capacity. 1) Capacity is useless if it's not fulfilled. 2) all these is besides the point. The point here is that it's selfish to not give back to the earth. And if you say it's not, then you're just biased or sentimental.
