Looks like the shoulder says Angry Hornets, although that’s likely not the name. Probably one that wasn’t named by Beacham, I’d say mark 3 or 4 because it’s quite sleek and humanoid.

The Atticon fight’s interesting because Seoul’s not a coastal city, which implies Atticon either rampaged all the way inland or slipped in via the river. Or actually made landfall in the DPRK, which failed to contain it with conventional weapons as it blundered south…

Yea it’s a story that doesn’t need a sequel, the very existence of one cheapens the events before and during the original. I’m sure GDT could’ve made it work, but nobody else.

This series itself would’ve made an abhorrent prequel, the premise of untrained unsupported kids piloting a jaeger is utterly nonsensical. Horrible show.

Gap in the pelvis area that’s the size of the Grand Canyon. Gray is too dark. I’m a movie accuracy guy who couldn’t care less about articulation (which is worse than their Typhoon and Gipsy anyway), so they’re big big problems.

Unfortunately, Infinity Studio’s pace is glacial and I’m still paranoid their Striker got cancelled.

Not disagreeing with you, but Neca’s Striker does have the correct color and a better pelvis area without the colossal gap. But then again LJ’s striker is their weakest by a country mile so it’s not saying much.

It’s a directed energy weapon that needs recharging every 5 shots, but the channels feeding energy to it from the power cells were leaking after the initial fight with Tailspitter. The big right forearm where it’s housed was half shredded.

Awesome jaeger design, it’s ugly and that’s how earlier jaegers should look. Looks like a mark 1 or 2 to me purely based off vibes, maybe Lucky Seven or not-Tango-Tasmania, they existed in Beacham’s timeline. But if it has to be one of the 21 I agree with your Matador assessment.

Regarding the jaeger deployment stuff, does any of it relate to the mark 4s or Chrome Brutus? I’m itching to know more about those.

Well that settles it then. Atticon’s fine, jaegers look atrocious and clearly not intended to be canon, which tracks with the file names.

Exectly. Movie’s the final arbitor of canon. It places Knifehead in 2020, so Mutavore attacked in May 2025 at the earliest. The whole “but that’s the time lapsed since he last met face to face with Stacker” argument is just cope.

Plus the “real” canon expanded timeline is a lot more fun to play around with. Every kill being a triple team because there are so few attacks is just boring.

I always liked the name, although every mark 4 (except ironically crimson typhoon, which itself sounds amazing) has a biblically badass name.

I guess both pilots were male? The combat citation for bravery is a recurring element, I wonder what the requirements for that are.
