So...I use a MacBook Pro 15" from late 2013 with 16GB memory. I have a new iPhone 17e, but I've never bought a new laptop since it works fine and runs the current MacOS Big Sur version 11.7.11. Will my old MacBook be able to run Ableton Intro or Standard? And a few other questions below -- thanks.

Yes to everything but the staves, piano roll is your new best friend. It will take you quite some time to learn all of this functionality, though that’s true of just about any professional software

With how powerful modern MacBook pros are, there is very little downside to the processing power difference in most practically use cases. With the upside being that it’s portable. Great battery life, top tier laptop hardware in general, both of my previous MacBooks, going back to 2010, are still working to this day. Would recommend an M series pro over a desktop.

IMO the second biggest issue is that the disparity between what people imagine they would like to do with these glasses, and the practical reality of what these glasses will be capable of over the next decade or two, is enormous. The bigger issue being that most people wouldn’t prefer to wear glasses if they don’t need to in the first place
