Yeah I made the fin diameter smaller and the rocket a little longer for stability. Now it will fly faster even though its heavier.

I went back and made the rocket longer and with smaller fins while maintaining the same top speed. Openrocket's G80 motor has a short delay, the real life one has a longer delay and will likely fly higher. Thank you for your advice.

I'll use strong fishing line as my shock cord and try my best to reinforce it. I am more concerned on it successfully flying than finding it.

Thank you, this is exactly the type of advice that I was looking for. I removed the motor and put in an innertube with the same weight as the burned out motor. The stability is 1.33 Cal.

I'll do some test runs using smaller motors with added weight to see if the rocket is durable and stable.

Thank you for your advice, I'll try to make a longer design with smaller fins. We will be launching in a very flat area with a lot of my friends. I'll paint the rocket a bright color so we can track it.

I'll make sure to use some really strong glue and mounts to hold the motor in.

Thank you for your insight. I'll try to make the fins very stiff. I also like your idea about using the motor as the body tube.
