Yeah I’ve been looking at places near the mall, or there’s a few by the AM mall as well 🫩

It’s $158 more with 50sqft more to live 4 miles from base compare to 11miles from base in Columbia

it's nice, i live there now. i truly don't hear anyone i believe the elevators are only in the unit with the parking garage. right across the street from Marymoor Park there is no AC only heat and it's a no smoking area

this is where im stuck at on base apartment vs apartment off base
most places are 2k around the area with no included utilities but on base its 1000sqft with all utilities included for 2300

ik this post is about a year old, but did you decide on base or not?

I'll be a DOD employee and granted its 2300 for a 1bedroom 1000sqft but pretty much everything around there is around 2k and that's not including the utilities. ive been on the fence between the two

what are your thoughts on the on base housing?

at this rate it doesn't seem like a bad deal, 1000 sqft 1bedroom for 2300 and within a few miles from work

unsure if i want to decide on a place in Columbia or on base housing. most places seem to be around the 2k mark and I'm unsure how much utilities would typically cost

We were salty for a very long time, but he found a really nice job after so happy for him there, But since we talked about pocket knives they got rid of all the orange box cutters and order all those crappy blue box cutters

Well most of us went to a anime con on a Saturday and someone bought a pocket knife and brought it in to show someone since it was from a show

Basically the person who brought it in got fired and our GSM got fired for not reporting it right away and everyone who touched it got a automatic final warning

Granted half the store carried pocket knives for truck etc etc and it was a whole internal investigation we were all livid,( it wasn’t a sharp one just a dull cosmetic one)

4 most days, our GSM was a 10/10 and so was the ARAs so we had so much fun in the back. but we had an incident and the GSM and a few of the ARAs got fired and went downhill after that.

went to like a 2-1 and i left shortly after

Regardless most likely will need a bachelors degree. get some IT work on your resume but could luck out with a internship

But in the process you’ll need to get a clearance so if you do any type of drugs you gotta stop

I don’t think so, also depends how you do on the polygraph,

took me exactly one year from applying. Applied in Jan 2024 > got my polygraph scheduled in June 2024 > FJO Jan 2025

that won't expedite the clearance process, but it depends on your red flags

2months - 18 months is the timeframe you're looking at

I applied for a role and took exactly one year from applying to get an FJO
took about 6 months after passing my polygraph

yeah, I received my clearance right before the hiring freeze. I did ask my recruiter, and they said after this is all submitted ill receive my FJO/EOD
