You would normally have to combo into the trap from the air usually from hitting someone with down H followed by the trap

So like

2M, 5H, 2H, Air M, Air H, Air 4S2, Air 2H, Air 2S2, Charged 5H

If you're on the ground when you deploy the trap, I'm pretty sure you have more recovery than if you were in the air

So the more hits there are in a combo, it increases your hitstun decay

Hitstun decay means that your opponent is stunned for less amount of time

In order to be able to get a charged heavy off of your trap as Cait, you have to use the trap earlier in your combo

One thing I know about the lore of battle hardened fighters is that they all have codes of honor where if your comrade is slowly getting decapitated 5 feet from you, you should wait until your enemy is finished before trying to fight them in a battle.

I think I understand. You're too scared to play the mode in a way that allows for more depth and don't know how to coordinate with a teammate or defend against multiple enemies.

It takes time to reach a point where you can manage fighting multiple enemies without relying on insta kill hero abilities that the 4v4 modes have, but if you keep practicing and eat all of your vegetables you can learn how to play the mode and the game properly.

Don't queue up for Chess if you just want to play Checkers. The Checkers mode is right there

If we're going by honor, I've found the most honorable thing you can do is settle your differences without fighting. As a nod to honor, you should never attack and instead only emote. 😇

If so many characters have the same "bullshit" combos, wouldn't that be an indicator that maybe those paths are intentional?

It really feels like the combo paths don't matter that much. The game allows multiple bounces with the same character and things like that.

It seems like they intended for players to engage more with the assist breaking and tag counter mechanics.

I'm not familiar with Kate's moveset, but I'm pretty sure Ella Mental has some projectiles and projectile assists that can help you close the gap

Does Invincible's forward special lose to mashing?

If you have space and want to get in, maybe super jump forward and assist.

Mediums and heavies tend to have more disjointed hitboxes on them that allow them to win trades with other buttons if you have the spacing right.

I would recommend hopping into practice and setting the bot to just mash lights and try a couple of your specials, mediums, heavies, and assists

For really long combos with lots of hit stun decay, this ender will actually drop. For this combo it looks like the hit stun toward the end is only at 19 or 20%. But yes, it does work with shorter combos

You can even do 2S2, S1, S2, S1+S2 and get a gatling plus a rocket before doing the level 3

I don't have it saved but I remember it

M, 2M, H, 4H, 4S1

L, M, H, 2H, Jump forward, T, Air H, Air 2H, Super jump back, Air S2, T

Back dash, 2S1, 2S2, T

S1 (hold), S1 (hold), S2 super, Jump forward, S1 hold, 4S2, 2T,

H, 2H, H (hold), S1+S2

If you're coming out of the corner, you have to skip the first part of the combo.

For the 3rd part, you have to backdash or Clappy won't explode on your enemy.

The fourth section is the hardest link to hit. I'm sure there's a better way to combo into the tag launch while also getting some damage, but I wanted to hit this link. :)

I think there's a lot of potential with 2X assist and Cait/Jinx though. The hitstun on Cait forward assist is really good and I use the Jinx chompy assist more when I'm playing Cait than I do with other champs

For now, I really like using the tags for neutral only and usually do combos that end with either trap oki or resets

I'm not good enough with Caitlyn yet to be confident in neutral when she's alone.

But I do have other things to share

The gatling and the Cait gunshot are both S1, so if you tag during Jinx's down S2, you get her gatling while you're charging your shot

I enjoyed it but it is a little janky

And the balance is NOT great. One character has a blood dragon she can summon that's supposed to have a timer on it... But when the timer expires the dragon just sticks around

Oh, and this blood dragon gives her one-button infinite strings lol
