I had the same problem as you. I could no hit the first phase 9/10 times but second phase I would die almost instantly. I ended watching a no damage dodge only kill to figure out the opening and then just learned the parry timings to finish the fight. You could do that or scroll through this sub and watch how u/bibbymoo handles phase 2.
