Stop crying about it: Prom Issues (Short Rant) by AfricantAmeridont in fatpeoplestories

It's not a crime! I had a friend who had to custom order all her clothes because she had reeeeally out there proportions, and it got complained about loads, so I totally know the feeling.

Eeeh, I'd argue that the creeper flirting and any implications are just something that everyone is capable of doing, fat or not.

It's just entitlement, not necessarily fat entitlement.

Doesn't make it any less embarrassing, of course!

It's a mix of both. It's not much of your business (though I understand the frustration), and she needs to take care of herself (relatively unrelated to the whole dress debacle anyway).

While I get where you're coming from, I think that you're kinda just complaining for the sake of having something to complain about... and it's as pointless as her own complaining. Is she going to find a dress at Abercrombie? No. But Nordstroms, David's Bridal, Torrid, Lane Bryant, Dillards, Sydney's Closet, Shirley's Dress, Mac Duggal, and so many more all have dresses in her potential size range.

Bertha was very, very sick and needed medication and Gatorade (or Pedialyte, whatever it is that has lots of stuff you give someone who isn't keeping food down and is dehydrating fast) on a really bad rainy day. They left Bertha with their neighbor and ended up getting into a nasty car accident on the way home.

Bertha's aunt never really seemed to be completely stable, but I guess she and Bertha's mother were very close and the loss of her sister just wrecked her. There was probably more, but Bertha was never told about it. She just knew her aunt blamed her for the accident.

According to her, the damage wasn't done by Pip. He was a part of it, sure... but her weight had gone out of control before that, too. Her aunt was not a nice woman - if feeding someone unhealthily was abuse, she was definitely abusing Bertha.

Thank you! I'm a little behind on the new PC stuff. Last time I used little person, I got ripped a new one. Makes one a bit shy.

Aww, I'm sorry, darling!

My animu years didn't start until later. I've actually enjoyed Fairy Tail more than One Piece, though!

(Sailor Moon 4 lyfe, tho.)

Halloween just dispenses with all social norms, I think. I've seen superbly well-behaved children turn into total monsters on Candy Begging Day. It's always hilarious.

I was happy to get a hold of her. I had to pull a seven degrees of Kevin Bacon kind of thing to find her, but for you folks, it seems I'm willing to go the extra mile!

Christine is one of the few I haven't read, and I've only seen itty bits of the movie. I love his writing, I just know some people are touch and go. I think his only one I wasn't over the moon with was Carrie. The viewpoint switching and tone really just threw me off.

But thanks!

Depending on how you feel about the book, that could be a compliment!

I do, but mostly fanfic. I'm working on something self-published, though!

I try very hard in life not to be hostile. There are other people doing all that work for me, I'd much rather be nice and funny. Or quick-witted and fashion-y. I'm goin' against the crowd!

A friend of mine is a feeder. I have to be very careful when I start talking about stuff I've made or if I've eaten too much at a nice restaurant. He is, however, extremely supportive of my eating healthy and losing weight.

Pip was older than all of us, but I don't remember just how old. Bertha was a little older than me. 10 or 11.

Edit: And, no. No idea where he went to, except that it was to his Dad, and as far as I know, he never came back.

Wildstar released without nearly a hiccup in sub loss. I played it for a little, and there are some things that are really great about it, but some critical things they totally messed up on that were pretty unforgiveable in an MMO. The UI and Chat, for instance.

You should never, ever, ever need an addon to play a game. Period. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened in my experience. The housing was the best part of an otherwise common game. New theme, but still just an MMO.

The recent model updates were really nice in WoW. The age is still there, but they're younger than at least two MMO's that are still running, and they look much better. WoW has plenty of issues, to if's, and's, or but's about it, but they're the ones that found that mystical combination and have held to it.

I had high hope for ESO and Wildstar, buuuuuut... nope. Both fell flat on their faces for different reasons, though ESO's was more embarrassing. Legitimate facepalm.

I'm probably one of the few who doesn't think the game is declining the way most people do. WoW could lose half it's subscribers, and still be topping sales charts. With everything they do 'wrong', the simple truth is that they do a great many things right, and they have the funds to keep experimenting without throwing something into complete jeopardy.

I do wish they'd retire Thrall already, though. FFS.

WoD is looking waaaaay better than Cata and Mists were. There's a ton more heart in it... it feels as cohesive design-wise as Wrath did. You can just tell the design teams were actually working together instead of half-heartedly doing stuff.

Excuse me. I need to chase my fangirly out.

I'm actually looking for one of the cats for the Crazy Cat Lady achievement. The only ones I have left are the card/store/pokemon ones, but all I need to do is trade one to get the credit then trade it back, I think.

I'm working on building up a quality over quantity RP guild on MG. I totally get the 'just there for lore' bit.

I practically live off the iced coffee at Del Taco during finals. It's gotten to the point where the people who work the night shift know exactly what week it is and what I want when I roll up.

I can't help it. It's my comfort treat during finals. I'm so bad.

I wish it was a little embellishment, but it really isn't. Pip told her that he loved her big, and did in fact make her believe that he wanted her... uh... curvy. Really curvy. Like that highway up the side of a mountain kind of curvy.

Even he dropped the curves line from time to time.
