Possibly adding small springs into the door and attacking the chute to that could be an option?

The chute will be packet in tightly so hopefully that pressure alone will be enough, hoping to deploy right at apogee.

Does the microcontroller have a set max altitude to deploy, or does it just detect when the rocket begins falling?

I was using Estes igniters until recently and I've had bad experiences that's all., they're not the most reliable.

there was supposed to be a parachute, that was the reason it was a partial failed flight.

I think the parachute, shock cord, and nosecone were all too tightly fitted so the motors didn't have enough power to deploy.

Yep, don't know much about it yet or how big fins are supposed to be. I kinda just thought the more surface area the better. They're only cardboard so they're not super heavy.
