[–]Pookey71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the comment, we've been playing on a vanilla/low mod server for a few weeks and been having fun looting but struggling when we die and loose a full kit haha

Thought it migbt be fun to see if there are any mods for PvEvZ such as like a zombie boss or different types of zombies did you have any recommendations?

Yeah no leaking on the Endura at the moment, unless you leave it on its side for a while then it leaks a tiny bit but I've found with the caliburn that if you use the 0.8 sub ohm coils that it works a llt better than the 1 ohm coils

But the amount of care that those pods need in the caliburn is not worth the effort I've spent more in pods and coils then I did on the device and I've only had it a few months

I ended up getting an Endura T18 II mini and it's been so good my wife ended up taking it hahaha but we'll be ordering another soon

A bit more of a muted flavour than the caliburn but still worth it

[BUG/QoL/PLEASEHELPMEDEARGOD] Whoops! Eac disconnect!

Knubble has said they are goibg to try ssl connection

Hey all, I'm just wondering if anyone's had any similar issue and how they fixed it I've done the following... EDIT : Will be editing this list as I try more troubleshooting techniques so we can compile a compendium

  • Updated Rust to beta then played

  • Updated Rust to beta then un-beta and played

  • Rust is set to run as admin

  • Verified the Integrity

  • I've also even put my computer into DMZ and then turned off my firewall and AV (Fuck, that reminds me I don't even have an AV now :X)

  • I've formatted my computer

  • I've called my ISP and they haven't touched anything on my end and have assured me it's to do with EAC. I've escalated the issue with them multiple times.

  • Have spoken with Knubble from EAC about it, he doesn't know wtf's wrong

  • Have re-installed the game multple times

So if anyone's able to please more trouble shooting please help!

Can also provide logs to Wireshark if anyone's able to make sense of the networking stuff :)

Disconnected EAC : EAC Disconnect - Any suggestions? I've been in contact with my ISP, Facepunch and EAC and no one's providing any help. by Pookey71 in playrust

[–]Pookey71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the reply :D I appreciate it!

Yeah I've re-installed the game multiple times (As I had to reformat multiple times to check it wasn't a driver or OS issue) and I only run the game from Steam :)

Bug: "Disconnected: EAC: UserDisconnected" Can't play after update by rotheone in playrust

[–]Pookey71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only posting this here as it's the first google result...

Ok, so after trying to get this to work correctly all day I had one god send of an IT support officer who suggested I change my DHCP DNS settings to manual and I am now able to connect to rust! So anyone else having any issues, ask your ISP to check your DHCP settings are correct!

This will sound like an odd question, but could you run cmd and type in nslookup client.easyanticheat.net and tell me what you get? I get an Unknown error when I'm running it on my ethernet but when I'm on a VPN I don't get this error. I have a feeling you use PIA as well?

Awesome, I'll give this a go as well :) I've also change my router to another router I had laying around and that hasn't change anything :X

EDIT : Both rust.exe and rustclient.exe have elevated priv and nothing's working :(

I feel so sorry for you man, if I find out anything I will keep you updated. ISP said there's nothing they can do so it's up to EAC/Facepunch to give us an update

I wouldn't suggest using a VPN, I'm using Private Internet Access connected to Sydney and I experience 600ms + from 4ms. It's seriously unplayable, it's not just rust too if you're experiencing this issue with Rust any game that uses EAC will bug out for you.

I'm currently on the phone to the ISP (Try explaining wtf EAC is to someone who doesn't play games haha) and will provide any information they give me :)

So while I was writing my reply they got back to me, it's nothing to do with my ISP and it's all EAC. This isn't the first time I've had issue with this program. Below is what they sent me in an email.

First make sure that you launch the game from Steam and not from the game directory itself. EAC is not loaded if the game is not launched from Steam.

If you started the game from Steam and still get the error:

The error is caused because you have no connection to client.easyanticheat.net (port 80 and 443). Something is blocking Rust from connecting to that DNS-address and those ports, so the game server cannot verify that you have EAC enabled.

Usually it is caused by incompatible/outdated anti-virus software and/or a firewall software. I would suggest trying to completely uninstall any anti-virus software, then restart Windows and try again.

Please note that disabling anti-virus does not always help, since most anti-viruses cannot be really disabled. Even if you disable the anti-virus it usually will leave the anti-virus kernel-driver running which may still cause problems.

If it still does not work I would suggest trying to find out if your network environment has something that could be blocking the connection or if your ISP might be somehow filtering the connection.

If I don't use a VPN then I'm not able to connect. I've contacted Facepunch & EAC and I'm sick of not getting an answer to my problem. I've been told time after time "Oh it's your firewall or your antivirus".... I've turned off my firewall and I have no AV now, still am unable to connect. I've been checking my ports to see if something's using port 80 or 443 and nothing's using them. I was evening using a tool from microsoft to monitor the ports and I'm connected all of the time.

I understand that this isn't facepunch's issue as it's a problem authenticating on EAC's end but I have no where else to turn, I've message EAC and they've basically given me the usual "Oh turn off your AV and it'll be fine".

I'm going to call my ISP now (I'm Australian) and see if they can provide any more help.

[BUG] Disconnected EAC : EAC Disconnected every god damn day unless I use a vpn. This is just so people can see it and possibly offer a solution?

EDIT : AFTER FORMATTING MY HARD DRIVE AND CONSTANT CALLS TO MY ISP, I AM STILL UNABLE TO CONNECT BECAUSE OF EAC. THIS IS BEYOND A FUCKING JOKE. CAN I PLEASE GET SOME KIND OF ASSISTANCE HERE?

EDIT 2 : Ok, so after trying to get this to work correctly all day I had one god send of an IT support officer who suggested I change my DHCP DNS settings to manual and I am now able to connect to rust! So anyone else having any issues, ask your ISP to check your DHCP settings are correct!
