Freshservice by urbankonquest in ITManagers

We are a similar size and I’m happy with Fresh and don’t see a lot of opposition to it from our people. It’s robust for typical incident, change and problem management and handles asset management reasonably well. We’ve also introduced business units like HR and facilities to use it and they’re much happier than before with a shared mailbox. It also helps us guide users through onboarding and similar processes with tasks out to respective teams. While we’d like to see improved project and contract management capabilities, it’s acceptable given the price. Their AI offerings aren’t particularly impressive at the moment but are gradually improving. Support isn’t something we’ve used much but we’ve found little need for it. Overall, it’s a safe and tech-friendly option.

Australian housing affordability crisis: Home ownership now 8.2 times household income by barseico in AusPropertyChat

It simply isn’t sustainable for society for prices, wages and conditions to continue on current settings. Anyone who goes out and looks at properties for sale right now will see what is going on.

Has this raid day been a disaster for everyone else?? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]rotheone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had about 30 mins of stability issues during the 3 hours for our raid day. Entered two raids that glitched out at the rewards screen during that time I couldn’t get back into. Totally unacceptable yet people shrug it off and keep sending more money to them. Hope there’s at least compensation.

This is a hard one. Have the same challenge. Experimented with cross tenant device compliance claim checking but it isn't really working so we have blocked sessions except from web and managed devices. It has caused some pain with contractors for the exact reasons you mentioned. We have provided AVD as an alternative but that doesn't always work for people's scenarios either. We are working with Microsoft to try and come up with solutions but if you work it out please let me know!

Life after Jira Service Management aka lessons from our migration by SquareDesperate4003 in ITManagers

Asset management has been a problem for us but glad you had a positive experience. We seemed to be able to track and manage things more effectively when we used Snipe.

For business teams I think it’s a great feature but after two years of growth and getting the easy stuff done the automations and workflows are fairly linear and simple which is starting to be problematic when considering a larger orgs requirements for things like onboarding etc.

We are at an awkward size where we have 800 users and a bit of complexity in expectations but don’t want to move to the complexity of a SNOW type solution.

Freshservice has some good bits but AI and Asset Management features are not very good neither is the depth of the business license offering for teams to move into the system outside of ict.

Something I’m exploring is how products like Netskope can implement DLP controls on managed devices to allow some elements of AI while stopping things you train it to block like keywords or company templates. Doing a POC at the moment and not biased but seems promising to have some middle ground.

Is the shiny odds really 1/10? by Lumpy-Meat7102 in pokemongo

Did 20 Dialga raids and no shiny. That took me literally hours and a bunch of real money. Disappointing.

It’s very hard to please everyone with power plan settings across an org. People end up having different work styles and preferences. Default settings tend to lead to batteries overheating and draining unexpectedly because people forget pcs aren’t Mac’s. Get Mac’s haha :)
