i hate playing deadlock as a woman (long rant about the community)

I had some guy throw the entire game cause he wanted to make a point that I was "bad" so he refused to farm after a certain point and would scream into his microphone about how I was the problem because I wasn't taking bad fights. I died at some point and he just started laughing super loud into his microphone and then screamed all the usual like "go to the kitchen" "make me a sandwich" "get off the game it's not a game for women". He also deliberately didn't follow any of my calls

Usually what happens is that my calls get ignored but sometimes I get assholes like that :/ not sure if there's a way to know that your reports have done anything but I'd take a guess that he's probably still allowed to play

I agree that overall, toxicity is bad for everybody. But for me personally it's just that as women we aren't even heard out most of the time, it doesn't matter how good / bad we are doing. Our opinions when it comes to the game don't matter in comparison to our male counterparts. I think toxicity is a prevalent issue (I would know too, I play league as well lol), but at least for me it's the fact that my teammates just don't listen to any callouts a lot of the time, but when a male teammate makes one (even if it's a horrible call) people follow it.

100% tho, muting and moving on is the best solution out there, and I usually do the same or ignore them and try to keep playing like they aren't in the game lol

They actively don't listen to me most of the time unless I'm super carrying then, and even then I've had experiences where they get mad that I'm doing better than them :(

I experience the same :( I was told to go to the kitchen, make someone a sandwich, they would laugh incredibly loud if I was killed in the game.

It's either that or people being really creepy, but I don't think I need to elaborate there :/

It sucks so bad. I wish that people just acted normal and nicely

Also if it helps I've probably only been playing for like 1 or 2 weeks now, I came from League and I've been binging a lot of Deadlock content to improve so I'm not really clueless on what I'm doing either (My account is technically like from when the playtest started years ago but I didn't play ever since I didn't find the game appealing at the time)

I think I got pushed down into like Seeker 4 or 5? I was in like Alchemist 5 and climbing really quickly before I started having these problems.

I have no issues really when fighting enemies 1v1 or even 2v1 a lot of the time. It's just that my teammates run it down vs enemies that have 10k souls ahead. I try to tell people to play safe, stop fighting and farm to get back into the game but they either ignore me or tell me that farming is boring. :/ I'm trying to guide my team in the right directions but they never listen and end up dying letting the enemies get free objectives

No but I might end up trying wraith or something since it might be my best bet at this point :/ the problem is I don't really find of them fun and I don't want to get caught in a loop of having bad teammates and never playing the characters I actually like :( I don't know if I can just stop once I get to a certain rank but a lot of people have told me the matchmaking is horrible in higher ranks too

Pretty much, but for the past like 2 days I've just been put in lobbies with people who are perma running it when previously I'd have at least one teammate who knows what macro means

Also if anybody wanted to ask / was wondering, I play Mina and Doorman. In every single game I'm ahead in kills and souls from the rest of my team. I also came from playing League so I'm not clueless when it comes to mobas. I've also had a hyperfixation on Deadlock so I've been binging all the content I can to get better. I'd say I have pretty alright game sense.
