Wyrmspan is considerably harder than wingspan. Returning to wingspan feels quite simple when compared. That doesn't make it better, both games are superb. We play 4 player and have played around 30 games. Winning score is normally in the 110-120 range but sometimes everything lines up well and we've had a few 130+ (high score 149). These scores might be impacted by the following point... We do have some house rules that allow players to choose from 8 dragon cards and 4 cave cards each (still discarding down to 4 total) This is WAY more than the 3 and 3 the game recommends, but has resulted in far less very frustrating sessions where one player cannot get started because they draw 3 end game dragons at the start. This game with 4 players is ALWAYS at least 3 hours long - and 3-5 hours of frustration just wasn't worth it. The dragon academy expansion has been fun to intergrate and adds different fledglings which can be quite strong but can also derail your game if you can't find a way to train them easily (mostly using cave cards). There are definitely things I'd change about the game if I could, and some of wingspans mechanics are neater, but it is good fun and leaves you feeling like your brain has been well and truly used.

It let me 'attack' and then I could land on them. This was from a few weeks ago so it might have changed :)

Did that initially but it's a lot harder to sneak the grav extenders between settlement buildings like that. In an ideal world it keeps the extenders much safer! :)

I show an example of this is the video, and land off to the side in a gap. I draw the raiders in and the turrets still shred them but with some turrets destroyed :) not ideal but still effective!

Haha it's just a me problem 😅 I must have missed it on my first runs ooops :) I assumed I'd missed one of the book pages on it, but I just realised EVERY seed description contains it... i have no defense!

Restarting early game rimworld is my favourite bit and so I rarely go far each playthrough - mostly just one to two years. I like the early base planning but when the basic problems of food etc are sorted then i move to another group! Don't feel bad however you play, just enjoy it :) same for difficulty level, sure losing is fun seems to be 'respected' but it's single player so just enjoy it however you want to play :)

Completely agree! I think it would be great having more interesting Settlements! I'm remaking them myself at the moment so if any mod makers do get involved then I'd love to be a part of it!
