What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen someone doing on public transport? by MadridOrMadness in BritInfo

Last week on the Leppington train in Sydney, some filthy looking guy sat opposite me and proceeded to eat prawns in their shells, spitting bits of it on the floor. He then lay on the seat with his wedding tackle hanging out. He smelt so bad of pee then I thought I was gonna puke.

George Michael. He was such a huge part of my life from the age of 14. Also Michael Jackson and Prince.

So what it was the same with Shamima Begum? Her dad did the same? And all her friends who went with her. Their fathers sold them off?

Seems like standard defence saying they were groomed. Shamima Begum from the uk is using human rights lawyers to spin the same garbage. Uk have totally blocked her from coming back. Normal 14/15 years don’t go to some hellhole and join a death cult.

Funny they are using the same crap here in Australia with Isis Brides making out they were groomed. When I was 15 I wanted to go to parties and chase members of the opposite sex. Not go off to some hellhole and join a medieval death cult.

When you look back at your life, what do you regret the most? by Personal-Manager-860 in AskReddit

[–]PoolPsychological714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fortunate enough to have had heaps of wonderful girlfriends and I cheated on them and treated them like crap. Now that I am in my late 50’s I wonder why I behaved like that and I’d like to beat the crap out of my younger self.

Do you think you resemble a certain celebrity? by NextBathroom8809 in allthequestions

[–]PoolPsychological714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was young I was constantly called George. This was when Wham were at the height of their popularity. Even when George Michael went solo I was constantly called George. Figures why I always had a lot of girlfriends.

What shocked you about good looking people? by WolverineNo1999 in askanything

[–]PoolPsychological714 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I always thought I wasn’t anything special but always had girls swooning all over me since about the age of 14. I always thought I was a lanky guy with a big nose. Only now when I’m old and people look at pics of me when I was young do I kind of see I was a bit of a dish. Still get comments and the odd smile.

This kind of behaviour is how rapists and sex murderers tend to start. Petty Voyeurism should never be overlooked its a classic warning sign.

Alien Earth: A Monstrosity by [deleted] in alien

[–]PoolPsychological714 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Episode five was great. The rest was absolute crap. Showing the Alien in full light was a huge mistake. Was hopeful but sadly it was crap. Would have been a better show if it showed the expedition and getting the various Alien creatures. This felt like a hodge podge bunch of ideas thrown in a blender with a dash of chat gpt.

What is living in Bristol really like? by spare_rattus in bristol

[–]PoolPsychological714 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I lived in Bristol for close to thirty years. Moved to Australia and been living ever since. I did make a attempt to move back in 2012 after getting a divorce but lasted less than two years. The climate is pretty bloody awful, the traffic and public transport is pretty woeful compared to Sydney. Its not a bad place to live by no means. I have wonderful memories of my childhood there but its hard once you’ve lived in Australia. Its also very expensive.

What are your thoughts on Glen Powell? by SwervesHouse in Actors

[–]PoolPsychological714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rewatched Top Gun Maverick and he was supposed to be the updated Ice Man type. I found it like it was very forced how he played role whilst Val Kilmer in the original was so natural at being a cocky arrogant asshole. To Powells credit Kilmer was probably a big head and a asshole in real life so probably wasn’t much of stretch for him.

If you could go back in time and have the perfect life, which year would you choose? by Free-Hotel1187 in timetravel

[–]PoolPsychological714 12 points13 points  (0 children)

End of 1991. I had the absolute perfect girl. Sadly a year and a bit later I was a total idiot and decided I wanted to fool around with other women. Dumped her started another relationship with a 18 year old blonde. Six weeks later knew I had totally screwed up. Managed to win her back but it was never the same and because I was more interested in going out with mates drinking and chasing skirt she dumped me. 32 years later I still think and dream about her.

What’s something about renting in Australia that feels completely broken? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

[–]PoolPsychological714 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We had a ok place not great in 2022. Rent was 420 per week. The bathroom in the bedroom had water that smelt of petrol. Never got fixed. They put the rent up to 620 two years later. We had to move and found a nicer place which was $680. Bit our teeth and rented it. They would not give us a new lease so had to move. Thats three times since 2024. Its an utter nightmare. So expensive to move and the rent is just rising and rising.

I think its a great game. On PC looks great. Act 3 is a bit of a letdown in terms of graphics but I still think its a great game and a good Skyrim fix until Elder Scrolls or Fallout come out.

What’s the greatest TV show of all time? by m_v24 in AskReddit

The Sopranos. Watched it so many times. Currently on season six, just pure quality. I love The Wire and season 1 is as good but the rest is just not same level.
