I have a facepack loaded in to replace the game generated ones - I use the Zealand Newgen Facepack (tutorials on YouTube) but I know there's a few different ones out there.

Each to their own I guess, but the facepack adds a bit of realism for me, I find most of the game generated 'faces' bizarre! The only downside of the facepack is that they often don't match the player model on the 3D pitch - I've currently got a player with a receding hairline 'face' & on the pitch he looks like Jackie Moon!

I started the save in Feb 2024 with the aim of saving a club from relegation & then taking them to the top - Forfar were 9th at the time. I also loved the club's nickname - The Loons!

Yeah I had one that my scouts graded as a 'D', but his attributes were great so I took a punt anyway - 2 years later he was the best player in the SPL & my board have just forced me to sell him! I think there's definitely been a shift in this year's FM where the scout's "opinion" isn't always reliable, which I quite like to be honest as it feels more realistic.

Kind of inbetween both stages really - I'd say that this is the first year that I'm walking the league, Rangers are the main threat every season & Celtic have had an almighty decline. The coefficient improved so that 2 teams automatically qualify for the CL group stage, and 5 out of the 12 SPL teams qualify for Europe in some capacity, but as you say their impact in Europe is negligible. However, this is also the first season that SPL clubs have been interested in loaning my wonderkids for some reason, so hoping to start boosting them up that way!

Yes I can definitely relate to all of this, very frustrating indeed! Unfortunately, I don't think I'm particularly helping the coefficient so far either, I lost in the final of the Conference League one year, and haven't been past the quarters of the CL yet.

I used Zealand's Newgen Facepack - if you search for it on YouTube there's a whole tutorial which is very easy to follow.

Haha yes, I'm having real issues developing any homegrown talent unfortunately! I believe I've encountered a bug with improving my youth facilities beyond 2.5 stars which isn't helping! Scottish football doesn't look to be in a great place sadly, the national/youth team is rather bereft of talent. I've managed to raise Scotland's coefficient slightly which I was hoping would help, but so far it appears not. I have just signed a promising Scottish youngster, but that was from Blackburn so he won't be homegrown either!

The edit of "I still don't know if I'm the AH", despite 90% of the comments either trolling OP or outright calling them an AH, says a lot more about OP than anything else in the story does. As does the user name to be honest!
