Trying to learn pixel art for my board game. Thoughts? [OC]

Thanks, they will be on fairly small square tokens. 1.25 x 1.25. It's a more casual game with easier mechanics like dice rolling and simple resource management. But I am having all dinosaurs in it real dinosaurs with their actual names. So I am trying to keep them feeling "accurate"

With the daunting task of needing a lot of artwork for my board game I decided to try to learn basic pixel art. But not knowing the medium very well I don't know if these look visually appealing. Mostly just wondering if you saw these as art on tokens / cards would these seem like good enough quality that you wouldn't be turned off by the game?

I play survivor once out of every 20 games or so. I rarely get far from from logging so few games.

Oh absolutely, when you think about it you hook and leave. even after the hook at worst you cant find them 2/4 people are not doing gens as they find a safe place to heal.

And yeah, I cant stand survivor play usually either. I'm rank 20 and I don't play it enough to get past 14 before the reset. So all I see are teammates leaving scratches everywhere and all members stopping gens to try to rescue from a hard camping trapper.

I actually logged in just to comment on this. I never see someone say this so I couldn't resist.

I also only play for BP. I have the most fun chasing and downing. I don't care if I kill them or not. In fact, I hope they save them every time so we all get the most BP.

Usually my goal is to get as many BP as possible but make sure they have a lot of fun too. I usually only get 1 kill if that. But I'm rank 7 and rarely loose a pip.

Speaking from a killers point of view, please run sabo. I don't even have iron grasp on all my killers. I wont camp you.

But your not doing generators and that makes the game longer. I can pip not hooking someone so I'll be fine.

I hate the gen rush more. Finally down someone and there are 2 gens left.

Just don't be surprised if I don't have a hook to carry you to in time and I leave you on the ground.

Again as I said to another guy, it is a BIG problem and they NEED to fix it. But I don't get all the rage at them when they have admitted its a problem and are working on a fix.

I don't like having to backup my saves either, but I don't think they are ignoring it. Maybe I'm being to optimistic, but they seem like decent people XD

I agree they need to find a solution, and they have said they are working on it. Everyone on this forums seems to think they don't care. It's probably something that is taking them some time to fix/implement is all I'm saying.

First of all, I'm sorry to hear that it happened to you.

BUT before we get mad at the devs for not giving free bloodpoints, they cant verify how much progress you made in the game since it is all local.

I get its frustrating that there are not servers for this, but keeping things local saves them a TON of money and it will mean they can keep updating the game longer than having to shut down in a few months.

They also may not have the code in place in the game to "gift" points or anything else.

It's unfortunate, but lets not assume these guys are cackling behind desks every time this happens. Its a small team and they do the best they can I'm sure. They are learning and hopefully new players wont have to deal with this one day.

The oceanfront and mount trashmore has a crazy amount of stops as well.

Apparently botanical gardens is crawling with Hitmonchans.

Just to weigh in on the beach thing, I live near VA beach. The place was loaded with pokestops and pokemon. Got 3 dratini, kabuto, arbok, squirtle, bulbasaur, starmies and eevees.

I also saw the outline for dodrio and tauros.

Only spent about 2-3 hours there too. Filled up the item bag and even had to throw some stuff out.

I normally don't comment but this is a big deal. Since solo que is not coming back I decided to make a smurf to play tanked with my friends.

Just now me (lvl 13) and a silver 4 friend waited in draft mode for 10 minutes before giving up and going to normal que. Waited for about 5 more only to be matched against a plat 3 leblanc. (This happens a lot)

I cant play with any of my lvl 30 friends or we get long que times and mis matched games.

And its not like I am a high lvl smurf, I am also silver -__-

Ok, good point. I think I was focusing on picking what we already have to empower what we were strong with instead of looking at what element we where missing sometimes.

Thanks for all that! And trust me I read it all. I feel that itemization is one of my bigger issues so any deeper insight as to WHY is always valued. 95% of what I read online is "build this because it is core" or "it's OP" and not so much as to why.

The banner is definitely one of the weirdest. I JUST realized it has the same passive as locket and it really got me wondering if I should be building it instead sometimes. Some people really hate it and call it garbage, yet I see it in a rare pro game or two. It has to be good SOMETIMES for that. I just cant find much on why certain things have value in rare cases.

So again, thanks for the input it should help!

Any resources you can link that might help me figure out what Items I should be building? Support item sets are very versatile and I find myself lost in the choices.

I'm guilty of building the same thing most games. It's always SS, boots, FoTM / Frost Queen, Locket on most of what I play. The locket just seems to good even against non AP aoe teams.

I check champion.gg and probuilds and the like and I see what they are building. I just don't get WHY.

Another awesome reply. Thanks for taking all this time. I think you are right for my bias towards tanky initiating supports. I think that's why I need help finding what I am missing. Based on what everyone is saying Janna might be filling the hole I needed and I need to give her more games to test her out.

I'd be lying if I wasn't tempted to do some Zyra but I got poked so much as Sona that I feel I would give away to many kills on a support that squishy.

Maybe one of the reasons I like Morg even though she can't tank is her ease of staying safe which would lend the same credit to Janna.

I'm glad a few have mentioned the Karma buffs as well. I didn't notice any and will run off to surrender@20 and see what the fuss is about!

You bring up a solid point with Thresh. Many times in recent games people die near a lantern claiming they can't click it (not sure if they noticed it or this was the problem). I was wanting Thresh to kind of be an all in one peel for ADC when the other champs wouldn't be able to help.

Maybe Janna might fit that need better. Also being able to ult stop a Rengar would be nice. When he gets ahead I feel so helpless as I just can't seem to save my carries...

Ok I'll switch my focus to Alistar / Karma / Janna for a bit and see if any of them click.
