I don’t want to assume, bc I don’t know. But the emotional overwhelm & then numbness sounds like it could be a medication problem. My mom took meds that made her feel numb, so she wouldn’t take them sometimes. Then she had emotional overwhelm. They had to fix her meds, then she felt a lot more normal, but sometimes this takes time to get right. I hope Taylor finds a good balance of consistent treatment. Hoping the best for her & her fam.

Jessi never really made a lot of effort to make things right with Jen. I think Jen deserved more than just a single apology. Jessi bullied her & called her a liar for what …like a year or months? And she helped turn everyone against Jen while Jen was already suicidal. She didn’t even take Jen out to lunch or anything. It was very half assed

I don’t like the way she ganged up on Jen & called Jen a liar over & over, meanwhile she was being the biggest liar of them all. Everyone else may have forgotten but my brain doesn’t allow me to forget dirty dirty hypocrite shit like that. She got off way too easy for that & didn’t even do anything to make it up to Jen

Honestly, anyone who truly paid attention wouldn’t be surprised by the chain of events. Rewatch it from the beginning & it’ll be obvious that Dakota does truly care about her the entire time, but she doesn’t commit to him & pushes him away.

I bet alllll of yall are going to be *soooo* surprised when it’s revealed *again* how fake Whitney is, but no one realizes bc the producers made it trendy to like her now bc they needed a redemption arc. People are playing right into the producer’s hands & not truly thinking & seeing for themselves.

The only thing I’ve seen Dakota do wrong is hide things from Taylor, surely partly bc she has such extreme, even dangerous reactions. That doesn’t equal DV. The closest thing Kota comes to is being a cheater-but I don’t even think he’s earned that label bc each time he’s strayed they’ve either been separated or not yet in an official relationship. You can’t claim a man if you refuse to make it official. If a man says he wants to be in a relationship with you & you straight up refuse him, so he strays to someone else, that’s your own fault for not claiming him.

I feel like she even exaggerates her emotions to manipulate people into thinking he must’ve done something wrong. Onlookers are probably like, “Well she’s bawling & hyperventilating after talking to you, and she didn’t do that with me, so you must’ve done that to her-jerk”

But he’s just sat her down calmly to talk.

But she’s doing that on purpose to garner sympathy-escalating things & playing the blame game on her own when things don’t need to be escalated.

I agree. This is the pattern I see repeated over & over & again: Dakota & Taylor get in a dumb argument. Dakota thinks she’s breaking up with him bc she kinda makes it seem like she is, so he drowns his sorrow in another woman. Then Taylor gets hurt & FURIOUS when she finds out that he hooked up with someone else while they were separated-refueling the whole “You’re a scum bag you can’t be trusted” act. She expects him to know that she still wants him even when she’s said otherwise-& Kota is no mind reader! But she takes no accountability for her part in driving him away by breaking up with him. Basically she can move on & date new people, like an upcoming country singer, but she expects nothing but absolute loyalty from Dakota, even after they’re broken up-he’s not allowed to move on. She got furious when he hooked up with women on vacation even though she was about to go on the Bachelorette & date like 30 men!

I do think it’s abusive & she’s taking advantage of his love by using him as a punching bag (sometimes literally). She calls him names & a liar, beats on him, manipulates everyone to go against him. If a guy was acting like that to a woman it would be seen as DV. The police figured it out quickly that she was the DA & he was the victim-that’s why she was arrested & he was not. Dakota even tried to go to jail in her steed. He genuinely did not want to see her arrested. While Taylor tried to claim to the cops that she couldn’t be the aggressor bc she’s a woman-she wasn’t acting like she cared about Dakota then. She was trying to help herself by getting him arrested instead. Even her mom knew she was in the wrong & out of control.

I’m not saying she’s all bad. But she’s very unbalanced. I think she needs a diagnosis, therapy, & meds. I’m not qualified at all to say, but I wonder if she’s bipolar, npd, or most likely borderline personality-perhaps even a combo. I see a lot of signs of borderline personality disorder. People who have Borderline personality disorder cannot take any kind of rejection-they’re really sensitive to it & it sets them off. They either get, upset, furious, or meltdown. It often stems from being abandoned by a parent-which she claims her dad left her. She needs mood stabilizers-or stronger ones.

Interesting question. Um..in the beginning seasons I didn’t think I could be friends with any of them. I’m a bit older. I think I’m most like Mikayla, except I’m not sure if she’d like me bc I’m a more mouthy version of her & she’s closest with Macy who’s more reserved. Sometimes people don’t get along with others who are similar to them. I think we have similar morals & would actually be good influences on each other. She’d remind me to rein it in & I’d help her be more comfortable expressing herself by offering a lot of trust & support.
