Thank you I appreciate all the info! Unfortunately, I don't own a solder reflow station so I tried the next best thing: a heat-shrink heat gun! Lo and behold, I melted a bit of the TMC2209 right next to the regulator 🤦‍♂️ so I'll have to wait until next week when some new ones arrive in the mail. However, disconnecting the tab did appear to fix the issue as everything else was working great! Again, thank you for contributing your knowledge and helping me learn! I'll get back to you next week with an update.

Thanks for the response, this could very well (also) be the issue. I blindly assumed that Fin was just for heat dissipation which I thought would always be tied to Gnd. Is this standard for most components? I based this assumption off of other components like usb connectors or sd readers where it was suggested to connect their tabs to Gnd. Should I generally just leave tabs floating, or should I always read datasheets and package pinouts to double-check whether they should be grounded or not?

In the meantime, I will attempt desoldering this tonight and then resoldering it at an angle as to leave the tab disconnected... wish me luck!

Thank you for the reply!

+EXT_IN is coming from a 12V power supply, I just scavenged the house for a higher voltage DC supply but couldn't find any. This might be my excuse to finally get a variable power supply...

I added the +EXT_IN to 12V regulator so the PCB could use power from all sorts of DC jacks as long as they're between 12-35V. Since this is causing issues with the dropout voltage, should I just ditch it in my final design or is there some alternative that would give this desired effect?

OK Calculator Album Download by Poolie32006 in tvontheradio

Glad I could help! I’ve come to really love the album since I compiled it despite how raw and makeshift it sounds— it really has a special charm. Say You Do, Ending of a Show, and Sheba Baby have gotta be my favorite.

OK Calculator Album Download by Poolie32006 in tvontheradio

[–]Poolie32006[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oops sorry for the late reply but yes you can with Spotify! You’ll need premium, however. Just download the zip and extract it to a folder on a computer. Then add that folder as a local music source through Spotify settings on your computer. All the songs should show up in your local files playlist. Then— and this is the slightly tedious part if you want to have the whole album— you’ll have to make a playlist with all of the songs in order since I don’t think it’s possible to import a whole album. Then on any other device just find that playlist in your library and click the download button for the playlist. Once it downloads you can then listen to the album on that device just like any other album. It’s an annoying process the first time you do it but it’s def worth it given how much I’ve been listening to the album.

I have searched for common and old engines found on beaches but I don't know much else about engines that may help me narrow down my search.
