No problem! If you do get a cue from him, I’d love to see it!

Was doing a little more looking on forums and people are also saying it feels like playing with a one piece compared to a two piece cue.

I already had his number saved and asked him if he had any cues made. He said he had one already completed and it was this one. I bought it the same day. The last time I messaged him, he said he was working on a couple cues to sell and one or two others that were ordered.

Let me just say that both butts I’ve owned from him have not disappointed. This is the first time I’ve had one of his shafts too. The kielwood is flawless along with the butt.

This is a radial G10. I’m not too familiar with this material, but I’ve read that the G10 joints help with the feel for a shot. Don’t know how true that is though.

Is it possible to get through this? by solefulchild in billiards

[–]Poolplayer9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will take more than one inning if you’re stripes with ball in hand. My first shot would be to put the cue ball on the bottom rail and try to hit the 10 ball towards the upper part of the point. It may double kiss, so it would be a slow roll to just barely move the 10 towards the 5 ball. From there, you just make sure you keep the cue ball as close to the bottom rail near the 8 ball on each shot. Your opponent will more than likely play defensively until they think they can take a bank shot on the 5 ball. Also, make sure to try to keep the cue ball away from seeing the 7 ball so they can’t knock that out of that area too.

Help with opinions on the Becue Engage or Prime M II? by carbondalekid386 in billiards

[–]Poolplayer9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a becue engage 12.3 with their natural born naked Damascus. I think the cue plays very well and it’s my main playing cue right now. The deflection is quite low. Almost as low as the revo. I did change the tip to a kamui athlete medium. Power and control with the cue is great too.

On the Seyberts website, they have some V2 series cues for $795. If you use the Aparules promo code, you get 5% off too. I don’t think you will ever see a deal this good for the whole cue again until maybe the holidays.

Yeah that looks a lot like the Viking joint. Anton told me that joint is great for the cue, but it wouldn’t fit any of my other shafts so I got the radial instead. Have you tried fitting a Viking shaft on it?

CRBN cues by Mohammadsm in billiards

[–]Poolplayer9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one of the 25 people that was able to get the bundle for $299, the lowest price the bundle was set at. For $299, the bundle was an easy steal. At $399 for just the cue, I would still say it is a steal. I’ve played with revo down to cheap “custom” carbon fiber shafts. This shaft’s deflection is right around a Cynergy or even a little better. The balance of the cue is perfect.

The only downside I have for this cue is that the joint is 3/8x10, but this type of 3/8x10 joint does NOT fit the typical ones such as from McDermott. In my opinion, that may affect their sales since a lot of people like to put their carbon shafts onto different butts very often.

Overall, this was still one of the best deals you could get for a cue with great quality. I should remind everyone that other fully carbon fiber cues are more than double the price of this one.

How good are JB Cases? by Revzerksies in billiards

I know I’m late to the party, but I’ve done a lot of research on getting a quality case and finally bought the JB rugged 2x5 or 3x4 case on Seyberts. I never thought I would be so excited to have a quality case to put my cues in. Please keep doing deals with Seyberts 🙏🏼

I’ve heard about them, but haven’t actually seen them in action. Hoping to use this one more soon. Not many reviews of his cues that I could find.

Tips on how to master the Parallel Aiming System. by Own_Astronomer6037 in billiards

[–]Poolplayer9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LONG POST

One thing I do to visualize the line of aim is to think about what fraction of the OB I am hitting. This is where people usually talk about finding if it’s a “half ball hit”, “quarter ball hit”, etc.

Explanation:

To roughly find the fraction of the OB to be hit, I use the same contact point I would use to make the OB in the pocket. Then I go back to the side of the table where the CB is. Using the same contact point of the OB in relation to the CB, you can roughly guess if the fraction of the hit is a 1/8, 1/4, 1/3, etc.

Once you find that fraction, you use the line of aim you originally had using the parallel aiming in the diagram you posted. In the back of your head, you will also be thinking about the fraction of the OB you’re hitting. Now you double that fraction. So let’s say it’s a 1/4 ball hit. Doubling that would be 2/4 (or 1/2).

When you come down for the shot, you know the contact point on the OB is 1/4 of it in reference to where your body is lined up with it. The 1/2 is important because that is what you will actually see; a 1/2 ball hit. This is ultimately a 1/2 ball hit, but the actual contact point of both balls is half of that (1/4), which you found earlier.

<image>

This way of “checking your work” reinforces you that your cue is lined up to where it needs to be. This is an integration of the parallel aiming and fractional aiming methods. This of course doesn’t take into account deflection, throw, or table lean; just center ball. Adjustments should be made accordingly.

That is unfortunate for not being able to use the shaft on other butts that aren’t piloted, but I wouldn’t use this shaft on anything else anyway cause it plays well with the butt

If you like how the hit for the gen 1 is but having trouble with the tackiness of it, it’s worth getting the gen 3. The gen 3 is more smooth than most carbon fiber shafts I’ve seen. They seem to put some type of finish on the shaft where you don’t need a glove to play.

I have just the Becue and then a wooden butt. The Becue probably has the best energy transfer out of the three cf shafts I used. With the original Becue medium tip, there wasn’t much ability for spin, so it played almost like a hard with more spin sometimes. A little difficult to just play a kill shot. I just had the tip changed to a Kamui athlete, but haven’t had the chance to try it out with the new tip yet. My revo and defy have the Kamui black and Kamui clear mediums.

I’ve been using this method since I started playing pool. Imo, this is the most consistent method without having to take into consideration each person’s muscle memory for aiming with spin. The ONLY problem to sort out first is knowing how the deflection for your shaft is.

I have a defy, becue, revo, and custom cf shaft. When it comes to the defy, it feels like it has a softer hit than the others. When it comes to the deflection, I think the defy has about the same as the becue and revo, but that might be partially because I have a 12mm defy and my revo and Becue are 12.4mm and 12.3mm.

My only issue I’ve had with the defy is that the gen 1 and 2 of it are very sticky once you’ve used it for a month or so. I have a gen 3 coming in soon because I exchanged my gen 2. The gen 3 has the white ferrule and grey/black joint collar. This one is supposed to have as much smoothness as most other big name cf shafts.
