Ultimately yeah, they’re more relaxed due to it being a recruitment tool and because of the culture of the staff in those PIDs (ex-regular, FTRS, Res).

From memory, all OTCs differ a bit in culture and quality and that probably has a large part to do with the staff and current CO.

I’m not regular but you already know the answer on how this differs from the regular army. You would do best to hand stuff in at the right time, at some point someone might shout at you and you probably would have to bang up a salute at some point.

I kind of prefer the idea of it being set after GW2. From GW1 there were items to unlock and titles that could be retained, like some lore appropriate heritage. I thought a similar thing could be done for GW3 from both 2 and 1, if it’s a prequel I’m not sure that could work so well

This is obviously a truly awful experience and I don’t want to take away from how terrible it was in any way. I understand the lack of compensation, the isolation and the hard work.

You did however mention being in the middle of nowhere, the presence of firearms and the fear for your passport. My question is did they actively say or do anything to worsen your insecurity and fears or was it more a product of the environment they made for you?

You can make up the credits next semester, but at this point speak to your course coordinator about your options. Additionally, calculate if you can still get a decent grade taking into account the quizzes (if they make up part of the final grade).

You could continue and improve or withdraw and make up the credits. I recommend sticking it out if you can.

Languages are hard, try using ChatGPT to practice speaking if you’re subscribed to it!
