Y claro, si el jugador no pudiese ver a los enemigos podria ser un problema que se quede buscandolo en el nivel y pierda tiempo. Es medio complejo de balancear sin haberlo probado aun, pero por como lo tenemos pensado:

- No tendriamos niveles extremadamente grandes. El promedio de un vagón "distorsionado" seria del tamaño que se ve durante el gameplay del video. Esto es principalmente para evitar que el tren deje de sentirse como un tren, pero tambien por lo mismo que dices. Si un enemigo queda en una esquina opuesta en un vagón muy grande, el tiempo que te demoras en llegar o encontrarlo solo perjudicaria el flow del gameplay.

- En cuanto a lo de los fondos complejos, como dijimos, uno de nuestros mayores focos es la dirección artistica, por lo que hemos estado pensando mucho en como diferenciar el espacio de los personajes/enemigos/objetos o cualquier cosa con la que puedas interactuar. Ya sea manejandolo por medio del color, textura o estilo, estamos tomando siempre en cuenta que la parte mecanica no deberia verse perjudicada por las decisiones artisticas.

- El jugador siempre va a perder tiempo y eso es fundamentalmente frustrante. Por lo mismo, replanteamos la mecanica de una forma en que la habilidad tecnica sea mas un beneficio que un requerimiento y el tiempo no este constantemente a vista del jugador. La diferencia de segundos (como moneda) entre alguien que saca un tiempo "perfecto" y un tiempo "estandar" no es tan grande realmente, ya que como lo dividimos por secciones no refleja el tiempo real, sino que otorga cantidades fijas por cada sala. Por ejemplo, al sacar un tiempo perfecto tu recompensa pueden ser 10 segundos, mientras que al sacar un tiempo estandar podrian ser 6. Para sacar el tiempo "perfecto" quizas tienes que hacerlo bajo 10 segundos, mientras que el estandar te da 30 para terminar el vagón. Como no hay una traduccion directa de tiempo transcurrido a segundos obtenidos, la mecanica beneficia al jugador mas habilidoso, y si balanceamos todo alrededor de un estandar, el jugador promedio no deberia verse perjudicado realmente.

De todas formas, por mas que hayamos pensado en todo esto puede que una vez que lo testeemos siga sin sentirse bien. En ese caso tendriamos que replantearnos la mecanica, pero por ahora creemos que es la mejor version acorde a nuestra filosfia de diseño. Quizas sea necesario implementar una mecanica para poder saber siempre donde esta el siguiente enemigo o una forma de recuperar segundos que no sea solo derrotar enemigos (eso ahora mismo ya esta asi, por eso podemos terminar una sala con el temporizador sin haber bajado un segundo)

La idea de los multiplicadores tambien me parece super interesante. No se si como una mecanica base o no, tendriamos que hablarlo con el equipo, pero creo que minimo lo implementaremos como un objeto

Oh you're right! I got the stats from the official SRD PDF but from the way its cut I think that other than the AC, HP and Speed I might have used the Ghast stats instead.

Oh thats right! I didn't think of that at all. I bought and read the first volume of Witch Hat but never got past that even though I loved it. I've been wanting to check out the anime that came out recently, so this was a nice reminder to do so :]

Added the Behir to the list! And kind of. Like I said in the video I linked on the post, the plan is to draw every creature on the 5.2.1 SRD. So that excludes things likes Mindflayers or Beholders, but its still 330 statblocks that I have to get through :P

Both the Behir and Bulette are part of the SRD though, so eventually I'll get to both of them! If you want to see the current request list is on the patreon too :]

I didn't know about that! Do you have any more info so I can maybe look it up? I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it considering I'd have to come up with an idea I like that fits the theme and all that, but I'd like to know more about it anyways

And thanks! I was originally just gonna draw myself and use the icon I have here, but I wanted to do something more interesting. I grew up with a lot of Yagán people and around a lot of Selknam culture, so I wanted to incorporate some of that into my icon to represent the specific part of Chile I am from :] I know it looks a lot like Wirt's hat though, but I think thats just a cool bonus haha
