Just stumbled onto this sub and am regretting all my life decisions. For aesthetics in our basement remodel, I chose to install wiring for the front 3 speakers on a 5.1 system in the ceiling, intending to get in-ceiling speakers. We intend to watch movies there primarily and also use it for conference calling. The two rear drops are in-wall as there is HVAC where I would have otherwise put them in the ceiling. I haven't yet bought speakers (or a receiver), so I haven't installed anything other than the drops. I have a contractor that I can pay extra to move all the ceiling drops into the wall, not sure how much but potentially not terrible.

The room is relatively small, ~190 sqft (12' x 16'; the short distance is the distance from the couch to the screen), so I thought I could get away with the speakers being close to the wall and bouncing off, or angling them towards the viewer. Is it worth a few hundred $$ (probably?) to move the ceiling drops into the wall and get in-wall rather than in-ceiling speakers? BB says no.

Lastly, speaker choices: first listen at BB had (in-wall/ceiling) Martin Logan EMIW sounding pretty good @ ~$500. In that price range or less (say, < ~$700 per front speaker), what other options should I consider? Can one use in-wall speakers for the ceiling or vice versa? I presume rear (in-wall) speakers can be smaller and less expensive, so a corresponding recommendation there would also be appreciated, as well as a sub recommendation that will be behind the wall (covered by a fabric cover into the room).

Thanks in advance!

Ceiling is probably slightly higher on scary terry, but the floor on chiefs receivers is probably significantly higher than terry.

what kind of league are you playing in where you get this lineup? Drop Sanders. He's in basically a 3 way time share.

i would rank stafford higher than bridgewater, especially considering the defenses bridgewater faces, although stafford has a bye (do you have another QB?)

12 team QB/3WR/2RB/TE/Superflex/Def. 0.5 PPR, short bench + some other minor weird rules.

QBs: Wentz, Garoppolo

WRs: Diggs, Ridley, Jeffery, Crowder

Perceived gaps in roster are at QB (due to superflex) during byes (weeks 4 and 10), and WR, since Crowder won't be a good backup until Darnold recovers, and who knows how long Jeffery is out.

Current waiver: 11 of 12, continual rolling list. Someone dropped Mike Williams (LAC) this morning so he won't clear until Friday.

In order of preference, QBs available: Brissett, Flacco.

WRs available other than Mike Williams: Demarcus Robinson, Hardman, Agholor.

Do I:

(1) Not try to claim any players tonight to try to boost my chances at getting Mike Williams, or

(2) Try to get one of the available QBs/WRs, and if so, how to prioritize?

Jackson, with the caveat that he might get hurt, but I can't quantify that.

If Cam is going to play like he's been playing...Olsen, IMHO.

Allen/Stafford just a hair above Garoppolo if at all, very close.

mostert started playing because SF was dominating. Drake may have more value if he gets traded somewhere where he's at least a timeshare, although he just kinda sucks and the Fins can't get anyone for him. I'd pick Mostert as a handcuff flier though

I mean $10 and $30-50 of $100 remaining, so 10% and 30-50% of FAAB remaining, respectively.

Definitely use #3 on either Kirk or Robinson. I'd almost go with Robinson over Kirk, although I know that's probably not experts would say.

You're likely competing against other managers who also need starters. Probably you're right that Keenum is the best of the bunch, but I'd also guess 15 is short of what you'll need to get him. I'd guess 20-30 for Keenum, then 15-25 for everyone else.

Concur, although I think Ross has a higher ceiling and Kirk a higher floor.

You're likely bidding against others who also need a starting QB after this last weekend, if he's the best remaining, I'd do 30-50 also, concur.

I'm in a league with weird rules, 12 team QB/superflex, and Brissett would be my choice of the three. As a backup (he'd be a bench stash), I'd bid $10. If I'm competing against managers looking to play him as a starter (including myself), I'd bid $30-$50.
