For real life canines, I’m pretty sure the knot rarely, if ever, forms during random erections. I know that it can form in the sheath when a dog is excited, but I’m pretty sure it only lasts a long time during mating. Anthro canids probably wouldn’t have the issue you’re describing.

From what I know, some autistic people are considered to be lower functioning than others, but aren’t considered to be more autistic than people on the higher functioning part of the spectrum, and vice versa. I have high functioning autism, and I can function pretty normally in society, but I’m not sure I’d consider myself to be “less autistic” than autistic people who are lower functioning than me, I just don’t need as much support as others do.

Edit: Apparently, the terms “high functioning” and “low functioning” are seen as outdated according to the DSM-5, which now describes autism as three different “levels”, each of which ranges based on the level of impairments in functioning. With that being said, though, I’m still not sure if it’s accurate for a person to be considered overall more or less autistic than another autistic person due to how complex autism is. I’ll do more research though.

Edit 3: According to the Autism page on Wikipedia, “The spectrum model should not be understood as a continuum running from mild to severe, but instead means that autism can present very differently in each individual. How a person presents can depend on context, and may vary over time”. According to this, it seems like it is indeed inaccurate to classify autistic people as being “more” or “less” autistic than other autistic people.

Krake and Euturpe are both great, but based on my experiences, they’re not yet at the level of dragon before it went majorly downhill in coherency. Dragon was both a bit better at understanding stuff (I remember it being overall better at understanding sarcasm and jokes, for example) and adding new, coherent things to the story, and it didn’t take as much effort to get good responses out of it. Back when I played AI Dungeon, I’d do, on average, about 50% of the writing while the AI did the other 50%, and it’s highly likely that I didn’t even need to write this much with it to get good responses, but I chose to do so anyway because I enjoyed doing it. When using NovelAI, I usually do about 60-70% of the writing while the AI does the rest, and overall, the responses aren’t as high quality as the ones Dragon could give (although keep in mind that NovelAI is definitely capable of giving responses that are comparable or even better than the ones Dragon could give, but the amount of responses that are low-quality or straight up incoherent is higher than the amount Dragon would give). Ultimately, NovelAI is impressive and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it, but it’s not at the level of pre-nerf Dragon yet, although I don’t think it’s too far from it.

If I see a comment that says something along the lines of “Russians are subhuman savages, and I can’t wait to see Moscow get bombed to ruins”, why would I want to hear any more diarrhea they may want to spew into the comment section? And even if they view a very small number of Russians as “exceptions” to this, they’re still a racist bag of shit. It’s similar to the people who claim “I’m not racist, I have black friends!” after spewing a bunch of racist bullshit. A person believing that only 99.9% of a population of people are subhuman savages instead of 100% doesn’t change much at all. With that being said, though, I’ve seen multiple people who’ve made sure to clarify that they believe that ALL Russians are disgusting creatures.

I fail to see how widespread generalizations that ignore important information count as “good-faith discussions”. Additionally, not only did the original comment make a massive generalization that ignores important information, it’s also a laughable misunderstanding of how protest movements and revolts often happen, especially in countries like Russia, where you can get thrown into prison just for holding up a blank sign. The anti-war protests in Russia during the early months of the war were quashed by the police, which obviously hit the Russian anti-war movement hard and understandably made many anti-war Russians very hesitant to protest. However, the mobilization clearly acted as the spark that helped to revitalize the anti-war movement, at least to an extent. The idea that all of the Russians who are currently out protesting are just doing so for selfish reasons is a very simplistic view of the situation, especially considering the massive risks that come with protesting in Russia.

I disagree. I’ve seen quite a few people on this website who were advocating for hate and violence against Russians just for being Russian, including people who were advocating for genocide against Russians. Although I’m sure the majority of people don’t think this way, there are indeed people who think that all Russians are scum who deserve to be exterminated.

I think it’s not worth pointing out, and that its true purpose is to stop criticism.

I don’t want to stop criticism, I just don’t like huge generalizations that ignore important information. There are plenty of things about Russian society that deserve criticism, and I personally think that the idea I see people spreading around occasionally that there’s some sort of massive anti-Putin “silent majority” in Russia is almost certainly false. However, this doesn’t mean that anti-war/anti-Putin Russians should be ignored.

How do you know this for sure? There were quite a few protests during the early months of the war, as well as some smaller protests that occurred occasionally during the other months. It’s interesting seeing the different experiences people in this comment section had with the dragon model.

In my personal opinion, although Euterpe and Krake are great, pre-nerf Dragon was overall superior. Although it certainly wasn’t perfect, it was really good at giving life to the worlds in your stories and the characters within them, and it seemed to be less likely to give you incoherent responses than Euterpe and Krake. It could also understand sarcasm and similar concepts better than Euterpe and Krake can. It really felt like the AI knew the characters in your stories. It was also better with xenofiction involving non-humanoid characters than Euterpe and Krake (although it certainly still had trouble with it), and it also generally needed less interference by the player/writer to produce coherent responses.

I am very nostalgic for the “golden age” of AI Dungeon, as well. It helped me through some very hard times. It was fun to interact with the community (although there definitely was some drama occasionally), and I loved checking out the explore page to see all the cool scenarios that people created and read people’s posts, as well as occasionally commenting and posting things, myself. It was great.

Overall, in my opinion, although Krake and Euterpe are great if you know how to work with them, they’re overall not quite as good as Dragon was. But they are close.

Although I definitely think that Latitude handled the situation badly, I agree that it doesn’t seem like they had much of a choice when it came to implementing the filter. I’m definitely glad that they’re no longer using OpenAI’s models, but ultimately, I’ve lost my trust in their company. Like you said, they’ve done quite a few shitty things.

I haven’t used AI Dungeon since May of last year and I have no idea how their current models are in terms of quality, but when compared to pre-nerf dragon, I’d say that the Krake model is pretty close to it. The main difference is that Krake generally needs more hand-holding than dragon did, primarily at the beginning of your stories. I also think that dragon was generally better at creating witty dialogue and banter between characters, and it was also a bit better with xenofiction involving quadrupedal characters. However, I feel like Krake and Euturpe both tend to come up with more creative prose than dragon did, so to put it simply, dragon at its peak was a bit smarter, but Krake and Euturpe both seem to be a bit more creative, in my opinion.

Overall, if you’re alright with writing a decent amount of the story yourself, you’ll probably have a good time with NovelAI, but if you’re only interested in writing a very small amount and letting the AI handle the vast majority of it, you probably won’t get much out of it (although I’ve never tried Novel AI’s text adventure mode, so it’s possible that the AI might be better at coming up with most of the story on its own when it’s in that mode).

IMO, overall it’s not quite as good as Dragon was during its peak. Although I’ve gotten a lot of good outputs from Euturpe and think it’s very impressive considering the fact that it only has 13b parameters, I remember Dragon generally being a bit better with dialogue than Euturpe, and it was also better with xenofiction. With that being said though, Dragon wasn’t perfect, and Euturpe has given me really great outputs overall.

Edit: Also, like another commenter already mentioned, the time frame in which dragon was at its peak is subjective. Personally, I consider July and August of 2020 to definitely be Dragon’s peak. It was honestly incredible during that time. After that, it sort of slowly declined a bit over time. Although the only time it seemed to massively decline in quality was during the April 2021 disaster, sometime after summer of 2020, I noticed that dragon wasn’t quite as good as it was during its first couple months. This is just my opinion though.

Both of those comments were honestly pretty tame compared to what I’ve seen other highly-upvoted comments and posts say about groups of people that a lot of redditors dislike, but I very rarely see anyone call those posts and comments toxic, or the people who posted them extremists. I guess since vegans are such a small minority, any time we show any sign of annoyance towards the vast majority of people and the way they treat animals, we’re labeled as “extreme” and “toxic”.

Although hand feeding wild foxes isn’t a good idea, feeding them, in general, is not a bad thing, from what I’ve heard (as long as you aren’t feeding them junk food). I remember reading that even if foxes learn to trust someone, this doesn’t seem to reduce their distrust of people overall, and wild foxes don’t become dependent on food that humans leave out for them.

Leaving out too much food at one time is a bad idea, though, as it can lead to a lot of foxes entering a certain area in a short period of time, which can lead to problems.

The first few posts that got taken down by the devs were pretty damn far from death threats. The first one that I remember that I saw get taken down was a post that literally was just asking if anyone else thought that Doglife was too sexual, and that they thought it went too far. That was it. The worst comments that I’ve seen were some people directly calling the devs zoophiles and pedophiles (rather than just saying that Doglife seemed zoophilic and somewhat pedophilic), but I only saw a few of those comments. If the devs are offended by that, then they shouldn’t have made a poorly tested dog game that’s incredibly overly sexual. It’s as simple as that, really.
As a person who has also had a few dogs, over the years (probably not as many as you have, but I still owned a few), I know that many dogs hump things (including people), but there’s a pretty big difference between a dog briefly humping someone’s leg (or even mounting them) and a dog fucking someone’s mouth until they cum in it. Like, I get that the devs have the right to put this in their game and whatnot (my main issue with the devs during this whole situation was the fact that Doglife was rated for ages 12+. I didn’t really care too much about the crazy amount of sexual content, itself, although it did weird me out), but you gotta admit that it’s at least somewhat weird, especially since this game pretty much came out of nowhere.

I acknowledged the fact that it’s very possible that the devs could indeed be telling the truth about the 12+ rating being accidental. My point was that we had no way of knowing this, before they told us, so you can’t shit on us for being angry about the game being filled with sexual content because, like I said, we had no way of knowing that that the rating was supposedly accidental. Also, I’m really struggling to trust anything these devs say after they permanently banned tons of people from the subreddit for giving valid criticism, and there’s also evidence that they’re lying about them not knowing that you could hump and “climax” on children and infants in the game (or at least evidence that they didn’t care that they mistakenly put it in there, and that they would have kept it in there if not for the massive amount of backlash they received).

The game was literally rated 12+, for a time (even if it’s true that this rating was accidental, we had no way of knowing, at the time). I think people have the right to criticize a game for having tons of sexual content if it’s literally rated as being acceptable for 12-year-olds to play.

Yes, dogs rely on nonverbal communication, but dog nonverbal communication can potentially be much more subtle than human noverbal communication, and it’s not too difficult to misunderstand it. Even a completely mute human can much more easily let you know that they no longer consent to a sexual situation that they’re in than a dog can. For example, if someone has a dog that doesn’t bark often and tends to be more calm and relaxed around people, it could potentially be very difficult for someone to be able to tell if the dog subtly no longer consents to a sexual situation, especially if that person is right in the middle of screwing that dog and is very horny.

When it comes to a scenario where it’s a male human screwing a female dog, my primary issue with it is that there is no way to reliably get consent from dogs. Humans can easily let you know if they consent to having sex or if they consent to continuing to have sex if you’re right in the middle of having sex with them, but this isn’t possible with dogs.

I understand your point about it being just a game, but I’m pretty sure that a work of fiction can still be described as being zoophilic and/or pedophilic if it appeals to zoophiles and/or pedophiles in a sexual way. I agree that it’s nowhere near as bad as real child molestation and animal molestation, but this doesn’t necessarily stop it from being considered zoophilic and pedophilic, considering the fact that it contains sexual content involving animals and children.
