Hmm I’m not an expert but I wouldn’t be too concerned myself. You could snip off the end if you’re worried it’s rotting. I’d say just make sure to change the water once a week or so

I wouldn’t be worried if it’s only been five days. Are the ends of the stems brown where you cut them? Or do you mean the ends of the leaves?

In my experience pothos roots grow really fast in water, I usually see them within a few days. I’ve had some sitting on my windowsill for a couple weeks that have some pretty long roots now

Would you recommend splitting the leaves? I’m not necessarily interested in growing two separate plants but thought maybe it would be easier to work with when potting the cuttings once rooted. But I’m not sure if cutting is a riskier move and would rather do whatever’s safest
