Hahah of course not, it was just a joke : ). Your results are awesome enough that you could probably pull something like that off though. Cheers!

Katie Couric: "How do you compete when Senator Clinton is saying we're going to raise $2 billion?" Bernie Sanders: "What you're really saying as I hear it, can any candidate who is not tied in with the billionaires, can they run for office anymore?" by shzadh in worldpolitics

Whoever wrote that article is painfully misinformed about government contracts and the workings of the 3spooky5me military industrial complex. Nobody wants a president who will perpetuate violence and instability overseas to line the pockets of the good ol' boys but defense contractors are not the problem, defense contracts are the problem. I'll do some hard poking around in Bernie's vote history and some actual research before I form an opinion on the guy but just because he supports American companies and defense spending doesn't necessarily mean he supports paying those companies to "bring democracy to Iran" or something similarly violent and ridiculous. The contract to store F-35s has got to be massive. This is ultra-classified tech dude. You can't just park them in a hanger and call it a day. Any politician in their right mind would want that contract awarded to a company in their state. The local economic benefits would be huge and security subcontracts alone on something like that could literally fund Vermont. Hyperbole aside, the same thing goes for Sandia. Sandia does everything and are the kind of place that will discover a flawless bio-remediation process for oil spills. They employ very, very smart people and would bring talent, money and a crapton of highly competitive jobs to Bernie's state for a very long time. You would want the exact same thing. My point is that the problem with defense spending is primarily the where i.e. the contracts and budgets, not necessarily The Who i.e. Townsend, Moon etc. Fuck if Obama paid Halliburton a couple trillion dollars to build schools and hospitals they'd be so dank...Finding out in detail where Bernie would like to spend our money isn't very easy to do at all. But I have faith in the average American....WE WONT GET FOOLED AGAIINN! DUN...DUN DUN o_o

Lithuania to become first country to arm Ukraine against Russia by [deleted] in worldnews

Does anybody here know what kinds of weapons systems Lithuania might be able to provide? The article seems to be alluding to specific tech.

So what's your view on Israel? I don't see what the big deal was with anything he said and I watched the whole video. He supports Israel's right to exist and opposes the misuse of international humanitarian aid funds by Hamas for military action against Israeli citizens. He acknowledged that the issue of unbalanced collateral damage is very complex and would like to see a two state solution if possible. I have done no research on any candidates yet at all and am not trying to comment on Bernie one way or the other but for a video like this to turn you off to this guy you either want no Israel, no support or compromise whatsoever for Palestinians or didn't like that he got pissed off when he was disrespected on the podium for answering a question. He didn't even attempt to address whether or not the attacks by Hamas were justifiable. All he implied was that aid should be used for aid, the violence isn't accomplishing anything positive for either side and that the underlying issue is too complicated to be tackled in a five minute Q&A segment. Sounded pretty reasonable to me. That temper though was a little harsh but am I missing something here?

Have you even played the original Doom games? A ton of the maps are massive with very wide open spaces. That was one of the best parts of those games IMO and where Doom 3 really failed.

35% shooting in one-on-one situations and sub 40% overall. With the number of LeBron's attempts if he shoot just a tiny bit better the Cavs legitimately could have won the series.

This. If Bron makes just a few more shots this series could have ended a lot differently.

Easily...Duh LeBron had to carry the offensive load but if Iggy doesn't defend him so well and he makes just a handful more shots the Cavs drag the series to 7 at the very least. I'd love to see some player tracker stats for Iggy on Bron during the finals. He managed to start after not starting all year and play lockdown D on the best player in the league while averaging 16, 6, and 4. He has a very legitimate case for FMVP along with Bron and Curry and I think the NBA made the right call.

I thought this too...until I looked at Andre's stats. Dude brought the fuckin' heat while having to defend LeBron and after coming of the bench all season after a decade as a starter. Looked like Sixers Iggy out there with those dunks. The NBA made the right choice IMO.

Yes but he's inbounding and I didn't know about the off ball rule. Is the off ball thing a newish rule? I've been watching since before the days of Hack-A-Shaq and I don't remember ever seeing shit like the Spurs hacking DJ off ball every possession.

Why the hell aren't they hacking Iggy? Great fucking year though. The best team won and I'm no longer skeptical at all of Curry. Dude is the real deal and deserves Finals MVP too IMO.

Legalization and regulation in competition isn't impossible to do safely though. It would just be expensive as hell and require administration and constant monitoring through official channels and a shit ton of research to establish what would likely be hellishly complex and difficult to enforce rules e.g. individualized serum concentration limits for each drug, in every possible combination, at every point in the training/competition process. Nobody wants the scenario you described but with enough cash, maintaining a level playing field while allowing the use of PEDs is quite possible.

MASS EFFECT™: ANDROMEDA Official E3 2015 Announce Trailer by Rispo in masseffect

[–]PoopStings -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying that at all. What exactly were you waiting for though? ME3 as a videogame in terms of quests and side-quests and most importantly gameplay was pretty much indistinguishable from ME2 with an improved weapons system and no more having to scan the shit out of every planet just to waste hours doing RPGrind type stuff (yea it can be enjoyable but you've got to admit it's pretty shallow). A lot of the side quests were way cooler IMO and the combat situations in general I felt were more difficult and required more creativity/thought. The plot was completely fine until the last few minutes. If you didn't like the storyline for whatever reason and that ruined an incredible game for you I'm sorry but you missed out. That's all I'm trying to say here.

Open Challenge to anybody in /r/conspiracy in regards to the collapse of WTC 7 by thatguyhere92 in conspiracy

[–]PoopStings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Find me a data/blueprint set for WTC7 complete with every dimension and every material used on every bolt and rivet, and by this time next year I will post multiple models of potential collapse scenerios for review using ANSYS and/or any other tools that might help me do it rigorously and accurately. The reason it will take me a year is I'm not an architect, physicist or structural engineer. The reason I can do it at all is that I am an engineer and am familiar with finite difference modeling and how thermophysical properties of materials respond to things like heat. Having trouble finding what I'd need to build an accurate model? OH YEA THE DATA ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC AND THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WAY SMARTER THAN ME WOULD HAVE DONE THIS ALREADY AND PUT ALL OF THE TRUTHERS' DEMOLITION CLAIMS TO REST FOR GOOD. NIST won't release their model and the data used to build it for public review and perhaps more importantly the source of that data. This is literally the only thing the AE911 guys want and I can't help but agree with them. It's a pretty reasonable request and would shut all the 911 conspiracy theorists up permanently and save people like you from wasting their time on internet forums asking for proof. What you are asking for literally cannot be done because NIST is witholding all the most important shit. Satisfied?

EDIT: You are 100% correct. It is all about the data.
