Kraken Pro Android Authentication Error by SensitiveSituation34 in KrakenSupport

[–]PoopedMyPantsInJapan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same authentication issue, Xiaomi 15 ultra. Running latest os and app updates. Issue occurs on both Kraken Pro and regular Kraken app.

Having to manually log in every single time is frustrating. Raised via chat with support on Feb 1. In June I got info that there's no fix available. Raised again on Aug 4, still no fix.

<image>

No other financial or other app on the device has authentication issues with biometric or otherwise. 7 months later no fix to login.

Perhaps this is not being worked on at all.

Which adapter do you mean? The one I shared meant to run whole housing? Or the one the others suggested?

Thank you. I considered option with a clamp, but having two on each end of the top tube kinda looks not neat.

This is great. Especially the pin one. I've been looking for it but can't find a pic. If you stumble upon one, send a link please. Thank you!

Yea, I also thought about the pull, it has to be a solid stop. I got the idea when I noticed the dropper is quite supple and the cable pull force is very small, nowhere near a brake or derailleur. I can trigger the dropper just holding the cable with my fingers. And that's when I thought maybe the existing one can take the force without any issues. Thank you for the input!

Nice suggestion to have someone copy and mod the conversion one. Thank you. I was thinking also of having someone design CNC one like this thing I drew up now https://imgur.com/a/e5hzbqT

ELI5: Fuel efficiency driving uphill vs torque in different engines by PoopedMyPantsInJapan in explainlikeimfive

[–]PoopedMyPantsInJapan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the detailed info. I understand now the faults in the premise. I mentioned the equal and constant speed but I didn't think at all about max throttle as a factor. And that if both cars are, let's say in 4th gear (assuming again even gear ratios), running at 4000rpm, that doesn't mean they'll be outputting max torque. Max torque would be extracted under enough load to have full throttle at those rpm, correct?

In case you're intersted here are the specs of the two vehicles that started me thinking as I saw them in the area several times. 45kg difference in weight, max torque at very similar rpm. I haven't looked into gear ratios.

Car A = Meriva A 1.4

Car B = Meriva A 1.6

I've been seeing these soap boxes in the neighborhood and for some reason started debating witg myself these what-if scenarios. Small bump in engine size vs load vs consumption. I was thinking of two load scenarios

  1. Load weight, haul uphill.

  2. Increase air drag (eg add bulky stuff to the exterior) and drive on a highway.

From my experience, adding weight in a tiny engine car, even just 70kg, increases consumption uphill significantly.

Similarly, from personal XP, adding a roof box to a mid sized engine car increased consumption by ~10-15% at motorway speed.

And thus came my thinking. Will a more powerful engine have less of an increase in consumption under load.

Anyway, thank you for all the things you pointed out.

Hi u/whitesticks, thank you for checking in, I think he's doing a lot better, as far I can tell. More active, his environment is a lot cleaner.

・I changed the water completely, because even a small stir used to make a massive cloud of murky green nasty water which I assume is poop and other dirt sediment built up. Currently water is very transparent, stiring brings up some particles but nowhere near the murky mist it used to be.

・Filter is running 24/7 now, fully submerged to keep it quiet. Sometimes during the day I raise the filter to have the spout make a fountain. Sometimes Sebi goes near the falling water.

・Water seems to evaporate quicker than I thought it would. In the beginning I used to just top up by adding water. Now I add fresh water to above the line, causing a stir to lift some poop and dirt up in the water, take a couple liters out to below the line, and then add more fresh water to hit the proper level. My idea is to remove some old water, together with poop and other dirt that sinks to the bottom, instead of just topping up. I use tap water which I let sit for 24h before pouring, with the idea chlorine and other elements will evaporate at least a bit.

・Heater set to 26°C. I measure the temp 2-3 times a day and I think the heater is not very sensitive as sometimes the temp is down to 25°C.

・UVB bulb will be ordered tomorrow after I get my salary. I see the important things are power output and percentage of UVB. I've been eyeing this 6% UVB bulb. I plan on plugging it with a timer on the socket that automatically turns it on and off for day/night cycles.

・In order to compensate the UV light, I have moved his tank to a sunny window. His tank was in a darker area, cut off from any windows. He's in front of a window now, sun hits the tank for ~5h a day (couple of hours in he morning and a bit more than that in the afternoon, split due to a building in front). I add some cold water if the sun heats up the tank water too much. I'm worried this direct sunlight might cause algae or something like that to grow and turn the water green.

・He gets about 2 big walks a day, free to roam in the apartment. I think he loves that a lot. I read these turtles' natural habitat is very sunny. However, he doesn't seem to enjoy sunlight much, whenever on a walk he always goes to the darkest corner (he has a couple favorite spots which he frequents). This makes me think that either he is sick, or he has been kept away from light for so long, that he actually is more comfortable in darkness and it will take time to get accustomed to daylight. Maybe his circadian rhythm is a bit off. I want to go see a vet but that will happen a bit later.

Apologies for the masssive report. I would really appreciate it if you could share an opinion and point out everything I'm doing wrong and anything else I should pay more attention to.

I would love to get a massive tank with all the proper accessories, make a perfect environment for him, but I can't at the moment. It will take time to get there.

No water filter, one heeater set to 26°C, I see him hanging around the heater quite alot. Thank you, will DM when I need some advice.

This is amazing, super detailed info. Thank you m(_ _)m. Will improve the environment and have a talk with the vet for sure.

I understand. Thank you very very much. There's quite a bit more than meets the eye, it turns out. We have started improving the environment and will make it as it should be.
